There are certain cars that have them planted already, affectionately known as bombcars, Gary (the garbage truck), and Big Red (the semi-truck).

You can typically find them in the Insurgent/Taliban main bases. You cannot place IEDs into vehicles yourself (anymore, #bringbackc4bikes).

I didn't think Big Red was still in. Which map?

I swear it was, maybe on Karbala? I forget.

The amount of fun was insane, when you found the blufor engineer kit and started to make tens of bombcars in the main base.

You can still put arty ied on ammo techie, works prety good as improvised bomb sportscar.

Yes, Big Red is on Karbala and Ramiel. It may be on others but I can't remember.

The clown cars as we used to call them were so great. Armor shot every car driving around them regardless because they became so jittery. You could send out 2 cars to ambush and blow both of them at the same time.

You can make DIY bomb cars / bomb bikes if you have kit that gets "sticky" TNT or grenade traps. Not every server allows this though. Kind of glitching, but idk.

Back in days, people used to hunt for blufor engineer and get the C4 with remote controller and then make an infinite amount of bomb cars by placing C4 on a car, driving it to tank or stuff and then your friend triggered the C4 remotely, heh. Kind of cheap tactic but sure was hell lot of fun.

Yep. Not 100% effective though, since they can come out very easily. Brooklyn and I tested it and only managed to use it effectively once.

And as stated before, this may be considered an exploit on some servers, and I would advise against doing it in general since the arty IEDs can just hop out wherever, and you might accidentally drop them in the vicinity of friendlies and have a bad time.

Fake Gary one is much better.

Gary is slower, a bigger target, and the collision mesh isn't really any better for the purpose.

Loading them with civies back in the day was great, though.
