Ropes for the Blackhawks

I'm pretty sure this might have been mentioned and brought up before because its a cool idea but, Blackhawks should have them ropes you can slide down enstead of it having to land. Esspecially for urban maps.

Haha, I understand that it's not possible. But I still think you shouldn't say it's not necassary. You usually can't land on rooftops due to the uneven-ness of them. So ropes would be nice.
However, I understand that this gets asked at least once every two weeks or so.

the blackhawk isnt exactly hard to land, and atm it doesnt really take long to start up... its really uneccesary... coming to a hover to let everyone rope out would probably take longer and leave you more exposed than just landing

If only the BF2 engine was as versatile as the Source engine. Fast roping is a lot of fun in GMOD.

You can put winches into maps that are player controlled. There's no animation for actually holding onto the rope, but you can attach a platform to the bottom of it to simulate holding onto it. Obviously it's not really fast roping, but it demonstrates the fact that it's possible.

thats just bieng winched down, isnt it just easier to land and drop every one off.
even if fast ropeing is implemented it would be no use, as a angry mec would just rpg the chopper and everyone on board as they slowly winch them selves into battle

but it would be cool for pick ups of the helo hovered for 1 sec and a whole squad linked up and was carried off to safety as every enemy in the city shot at them.

It does not matter that the choppers are easy to land. Fast-roping is different and more realistic. Don't bring up rotor non-collusion as an excuse to not have this, point the the engine (if this is the case) for the reason.

Wait, i just want to know if this is remotely possible, but can't we set the "ropes" just like grappling hooks on the side of the blackhawk, then have them go down as the helicopter slows down, like the doors on the huey in the EOD 2 mod, then instead of jumping out you automatically "grab" the hook then lower yourself, or somehow set the rope friction lower so you slided down? just a thought...
