I can launch the actual game itself by running PRBF2.exe (I'm using the standalone). However, whenever I run the Launcher, the PR2 logo appears on screen but nothing happens. Any ideas? My computer says I have DirectX 9,.NET framework and Visual C++ all up to date.

When I run the game, it tells me I must start it through the launcher, not directly.

same issue here... please someone??? I am facing a issue with Project Reality v1.3 Standalone on the new Windows 10 OS. I have just recently upgraded (downgraded?) from Windows 8.1 and it worked perfectly on that system, now that i have Windows 10 the program wont start, i have tried changing the compatability settings to Windows 8, 7, and Vista, but none of these options allow the game to start up. I absolutely love this game and have played it for a long time.
If possible could anyone give me tips or fixes as i have googled it and had no resolve.
I installed Directx & NET and reinstalled PR 3 times...

Launch the game from C:\Program Files (x86)\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2\mods\pr\bin\PRLauncher.exe

Same thing as before happens: The PR dog tags appear, but the actual launcher never appears.

what windows are you running?
do you have the latest windows updates?
anti virus?
run as admin?

Does resolution match system resolution?

Running Windows update helped some people make sure your up to date

No, but correcting the resolution still didn't make the launcher work.

Again, I was able to launch the game itself, but it said I need to start from the launcher, and it's the launcher that won't begin for me.

did try disabling your AV? or whitelisting prbf2.exe prlauncher.exe prmumble.exe?

do you have latest direct X?
do you have microsoft .NET?

double check on both

Uninstalled my AV, didn't make a difference.

I have NET 4.5 and latest Direct X.

download 4.0 aswell
Download Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (Web Installer) from Official Microsoft Download Center

NET 4.0 says the following:

Same or higher version of .NET Framework 4 has already been installed on this computer.

Hey I have the same problem as well. Were you able to solve the launch problem?
