I'm trying to test out some things, but when a guy goes wounded - he automatically dies after 10 seconds. Is there a way around this? It seems to occur in local, PRTA training server, and rcon mode. I'm not sure what causes it.

That's server setting.
You could probably avoid it on local by editing python/game/realityconfig_local.py C['WOUNDED_TIME'] to time you need. Keep in mind that it's probably won't go more than 300 seconds as it's also defined in core mod files.
