I can't find goods squads in many servers anymore.

I usually end up being a squad leader with a leet 4 man squad that always has to take up the slack the rest of the noob team thinks their helping.

I'm having many a problem these days.

Trying to be commander when nobody listens is annoying, especially when you can see much more than what they can. I could be pissed off about several other things but it's cool that most of it will be fixed in 0.5.

When I'm commander, I always try to let one squad cap while the other defends, and then switch it up so that everybody gets a shot. But there's always a squad or two that will only attack. So then I have to get another squad to always defend, which isn't fair to them.

I wish the commander could take punitive action against a squad leader. But unfortunately, that would probably get abused.

Could be good for clan matches and whatnot though.

I guess I have been very lucky indeed then. Played for *blush* 9 hours straight yesterday and I came across squad after squad using VOIP like it was their private chatline, defending, attacking, ambush, planning, failing, trying again.

Shortly after 0.4 I felt that there was alot of radio silence, but not lately.
Anybody else noticed that teamplay has picked up.

Had a good squad yesterday on our server. SL called it VOIP, anyone who joined it was asked if they had a mic, those who didn't respond were kicked, so squad was full of people who could respond. Made for some great games.

If you can't find a working VoIP squad...

1. Make Squad
2. Invite people which you know (and which have a mic)
3. ???
4. Profit

;)

I find it amusing when i often join a squad... there will be total radio silence...and i say "Hi Lads" or whatever after a few mins of silence and start chatting away....... other people start talking slowly at first and slowly more and more.
People need to be encouraged to use their mics, often after i've screamed a warning that has saved their bacon they start using it!

Radio silence in a squad where you have 3/4 players with mics is caused often by the SL not having voice... this often leds to a mini mutiny... with "i'm off to start a VoIP squad who's coming with me"... MadTommy leaves squad....

But some people just dont like VoIP and dislike chatters like me.. so you will always have silent squads.

And some will never take orders. sigh

Also a note.. too much chat can be as bad as none.... hard to hear those footsteps in the Mao jungle when someone is constanlty rabbiting on!

I can't even hear anything over the VOIP, even at 100% volume. Most people chat shit anyway and have incomprehensable speech (all fuzzy and stuff). If i really wanted voice comms i'd use TS, but i don't. That and everyone here in Europe doesn't speak English unlike in N America.

I hardly meet any ppl on EU servers that cant speak english. Most ppl who aint english, know how to speak english pretty damn well its a embarrassment for us cos we hardly get taught any french etc here and we can hardly speak it when we come out, but these guys english is very good considering its just a language they had to take at school...

Besides, most ppl you find on PR EU servers are brits :p

Bullit_toof's Bedtime Squad. I'm not the best SL ever, and its more than probable that we'll lose the round, but if you enter it with a fun attitude I'll guarantee we'll have a laugh.

I'm not about performing well unless it just presents itself to me.

I may change the squad name to Jim Jones though because of the suicide pacts, that will hopefully become a regular feature of my games :D

Yeah, iirc, me, you and Supasnipa were the only ones talking last night on ECGN in a 6 man squad. Either that or i pushed the mute button by mistake...

Big problem I've had lately too - they are talking but I can barely hear most of them. I have voip at 100 and have now started sliding down the game sound to try and compensate havent found a good setting yet.

Yeah, some people are really low. I keep telling them, "I can't hear a word you are saying. Increase your transmit volume" And yet they do nothing and you see the same guy on the server the next day without making changes.

To fix this: Go to audio options and bring the transmit volume over to 100%. If this does not do it hit "Mic Boost" 999/1000 this will make you load enough to be heard provided your mic is not 10 years old.

I usually end up squad leader :/
I was encouraging my squad members to use me as a mobile spawn, I was sniper and had a sneaky position on some pipes covering a flag.... what does my squad do? spawns on me (fair enough thats the idea, use me as a spawn and cap that flag) and starts spamming assault rifle fire from my position! :(

When I create a squad it's called "VOIP ONLY" or something to that effect. No matter what though I've never had more than 3 people in the squad at one time who speak. If they don't have a mic they shouldn'e be in the squad, there's no place for shy people either. Being shy is completely couter productive.

Sometimes I can't bearly hear someone but all other guys on the squad can hear him. Can it be fixed or it's not my problem?
