is this the Kongsberg Nordic?
It looks moire like the old kind, the M153 (The latest in use by the US, with shields attached)
I have been talking to Ddeo about making the Nordic as it has been chosen to replace all M153/M151s in both Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. Has some major differences including wider field of view, further zoom and shields to protect the system from small arms fire:

Hold your horses. If you are making that for FDF then its the right model.

No, the 153 is being replaced by the Nordic. the 151 is already ingame (
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f388-p ... r-rws.html )and is mostly identical to the 153 if you wish to use that instead, as the 151 and 153 is used by the Finns, the 151 in far greater numbers. Very little of this is available online as a deal has been struck between Kongsberg and Patria that has yet to be finalized. Might mean that the 180 so million (NOK) deal might be part of a bigger plan to replace the SISU X203
So there is really very little need to make the 153 unless you wish to add the shields onto it and give it to the US army.
While the Nordic is the future system, that will pop up more and more on pictures etc. I am sure.

Ok so i made all the changes and its now the right model
it currently has 1800 tris is that too much?
any feedback before starting UV unwrap

Maurib, The model looks very good but its too detailed. 1800 is too much coz its on top of the apc etc. Check out this link -->

Awesome work
Very fast too^^
it is going to need some optimizing. I was really expecting Rhino to be in here by now to give some proper critique, but it is hard without more wireframe renders.

Let me see...If I have been here long enough someone (most likely rhino) would probably tell you to change the circle on the big lens a bit.

Nice work man! Seems very optimized as well. Although I'm no expert on this
I'd personally even say the ammo-belt could be a bit rounder?

Great work shaving off tris, still looks great. I still think we need an expert to look at this thread though.
Btw, there is no difference in how the 40mm version looks like. I am looking for refs, but they are hard to come by. I sent you one though.
It is kind of important as they will be used on Norwegian CV90s, do you think you can look into that?

There are some loose elements that might cause z-fighting, but other than that I can't really see anything wrong with it.

Remember to delete faces that dont show up coz they are waste of UV sheet.
The knob on the ammobox is just a cylinder. Also you could add locks to the ammobox too.
Also you could test that gun that it can move up and down without that it goes trough anything.
Agreed with H.sta, you could chamfer ammobelt (just a bit)
Other than that, ACE job!
PS: Where is Rhino?

Already fixed it and started UV unwrapping, thought im not sure how to do it
-The machine gun that i show there is only a placeholder i made, in game is going to use the current model inside pr, im not sure if the UV needs space for the machine gun texture or do i only texture the model itself

Unwrap UVW Mapping of model to single UV Map for Texture Making - Game Texturing
Here is pretty good basic tutorial how to do uv unwrap with 3dsmax9. Just remember, If you want some object to be more detailed then you must make it bigger in UV sheet.
EDIT: After that you can apply AO map to it to give more realistic texture with shadows.
