any links to download 3ds max 7 or 9 to start modelling for bf2???

I think 3ds Max9 is no longer available through legit sources. One alternative would be to use Blender. It is not directly compatible, but some of our modelers use it and it works out pretty good.

If you're a student you can get a student license for free.

Another option is obtaining it illegally on a torrent site, but I'm certainly not promoting it on this forum.
