I can configure my cyclic controls in the configurations, but when I go into game play they don't respond. Everything else works as it should except my pitch and roll. They map in the heli controls but not in game. Any ideas? I am using an antiquated saitek x45, but windows sees all the functions of the set up just fine.

Assuming you have keys on the x45 bound which work (if nothing on the stick works, sounds like a hardware problem), you're not trying to use mouselook (default ctrl) for some flight-simesque action are you? It disables pitch and roll...
