[1.3.5] Fennek

Except for that the Fennek is now only a machine gun jeep, (the periscope is useless on cas less maps) I noticed whilst on the machine gun before the gun has warmed up there is a bug. The screen will freeze with a frame of the gun attempting to fire, and the machine gun sound will be played continuously till the gun has actually warmed up to usable condition.

That happens with every vehicle, since forever, maybe you just haven't noticed it.

It can lase targets with the sensorpod. If there's no CAS, you can only watch and zoom (a lot), which is still an interesting feature.

I haven't had the sound looping and screen freezing with any other vehicles before, unless it's a new feature of the patch that is.

Periscope is awesome on Dovre to look over the hedges before rekking infantry with the 50 cal.

Didn't it also have functioning periscope with machinegun attached to it?

No it has a seperate periscope from the machine gun.

Well that's kind of weak.
Would have been an interesting(read: boarderline-op) vehicle if it had a periscope-mounted machinegun.
Still, being able to look over stuff(with FLIR?) is an advantage no other vehicles have.

The thing _is_ weak, it's a recon vehicle after all. The .50 cal is only there for protection.

yes, it is an excellent recon vehicle , one regrets that most players do not recognize this and use it like a apc , whenever I use the Fennek , take strategic position where it can raise the periscope without exposing the vehicle , behind the a mountain for example, and while keeping communication with the CAS squad.

Just let the gunner see lazes, so you can have a full 3-man crew do some damage.

I dont know if intended but you need 2 RPG-26 shots to destroy the fennek.
It should survive max 1 RPG-7 imo.
