Lost connection to server after 10-15 minutes of play.

I play on servers with 60-90 ping. My game will pause, return to the main menu and say "server connection has been lost" or something very similar. This happens after 10 minutes of playing so it makes all my sessions short and inconvenient. I am unable to play for long period of time :( . I have over 200 games in my steam library. This is the first time I have had any issues like this in a "long" time. I close all my programs, run as administrator, disabled AI internet traffic (its used to allocate bandwidth do different programs based on priority) on my ASUS AI Sweet. All my drivers are up to date and my windows 10 is up to date. I dont have viruses or bloat ware on my PC, I keep it very clean. I read the forum and it said anything over 3 ms packet loss is bad. I tested and I only have 2 ms packet loss. Whats causing me to disconnect?? Its not my internet because when I'm disconnecting from the server I can always hear and use mumble for another few seconds. As a side note I have only played pr for like 4 days and thi :-( has been happening ever since I first started playing.

packet loss more than 0 is bad. 2-3ms packet loss is enough to ruin your gaming experience, esp with an older game like PR. could you describe your internet setup? ethernet/wireless? isp? shared PCs? wiring? etc

i used to get packet loss because there was a staple in my coax cable that i had to hunt down for a while, that alone caused my game to crash. make sure your wiring is good at home

I have an ARRIS Motorola surfboard modem. I'm hard wired into a high speed router that is then connected to the modem. Thing is, I did the test from my dads PC and he also had a 2 ms packet loss. I tried resetting everything to no avail. I use Earth link internet which uses the Time Warner Cable infrastructure. I live in upstate new york. My download is 26 Mbps and my upload is 2.65 Mbps at the moment.

EDIT: Someone on amazon reviews is saying that

QUOTE: if you are having packet loss with this device, it's because you have "IP Flood Detection" AND "Firewall Protection" checked off under the Firewall menu. I would get 90% packet loss when both were selected, and 0% when either (or none) were selected. This is unrelated to Time Warner or Road Runner, and probably other cable providers. END QUOTE

Ill ask my dad tomorrow if he can try and disable this rubbish.

try that and report back. you should have access to it yourself if you lookup the ips in ipconfig using command prompt

example: 192.168.1.1

username and PW should be default to your device, something like admin and password

should be an easy disable for the two

My dad had to call the internet company and have them reset our modem. This fixed my packet loss problem on csgo. Might just needa reset your modem/Mainline.
