I have installed the game according to instructions but when I start it, all the patching windows just flick past as if the game is updating and then nothing happens, no errors or anything.

The updates run every time I start the game, and then nothing happens.

I have gone through all the steps advised on the forum and some of the troubleshooting steps I found relative to my issues.

- .Net installed and enabled (All included in Windows 10 even 3.5)

- C++ - all installed

- Direct x - installed and enabled Graphic Tools feature in Windows 10

- I do not have BF2 installed and never have so there is no folder under Documents

- resolution is 1920 x 1080 with 60Hz

- starting as Administrator with Vista Compatability Mode

- Directory whitelisted for AV

When I run the game it starts fine, but obviously says that it cannot communicate with the Launcher.

The issue must be the Launcher then?

does anyone have a suggestion at least? Surely I cant be the only persona having this problem.

Ok so I managed to get a little closer, it seams the problem is with the updater. Here are the steps I take and how far I get:

Install the game and prerequisites.

Run Launcher



Click Play



If I click Update on the screen above I will get stuck in a constant circle as described in my original post, in fact once i click update there is no way I can actually go back to the full Launcher (1st screenshot) menu until I reinstall the game. So I decided to click skip.

Skipping the update launches the game fine without issues however when I go to play online i cant join any servers because the list is empty (presumably because its not up top date).

Would it be possible to provide the latest game files required to play on a manual update please or at least tell me what files i need to get so I can ask my friends to upload?

The ISO downloadable from the website is version 1.3.5.0 but I think the online gameplay requires the latest 1.3.9

I have now copied the 1.3.9 files from my friend and everything is working fine. The problem is definitely the updater in the launcher.
