Hello.

I'm new to PR, and i got some questions.

1) How can i play the game? I have read the FAQ for new players, but english is not my native language, so if someone can explain it here, that would be awesome. :)
2) How many maps does this game/mod got?
3) How many players play this game?
4) So its called 'Project reality' what do i need to see? is it like Dayz a shitty 'survival' game, with no zombies?
5) Can i run the game? i5 3570k 3.4 GHz gtx 780.

Thanks!

1. Downloads | Project Reality follow this to download (if you haven't already).
2. Loads.
3. Most evenings there are around 4 to 5 different servers that are full (100 players each).
4. No.
5. No idea.

Hey stottergek. Welcome from a fellow Dutchman. Not sure if we'll bump into each other though as I'm not really actively playing at this moment.

PR is great really. On good PR servers you'll notice the people are very welcoming and would gladly learn you the game.

Enjoy the game man :)

2) Is this game beter optimized then Arma, squad? Both getting HORRIBLE FPS on.

You don't have to buy Battlefield 2. PR 1.3 is,standalone.

Download the installer from the downloads page and install the game. Then create an online account and if needed the game updates itself to the latest version.

To play coop in-game click on cooperative in the menu, then select join internet.

To play against other human players click on deployment and select join internet.

I know this is rather basic but it hopefully will get you started.

It has been a while since i installed the standalone so i'm not sure what i had to do, but i didn't have to burn a cd, and it can't have been all that difficult if i managed. I hope it won't hold you back.
Maybe you need to mount it on a virtual drive or whatever you call it. If so try alcohol120 or deamontools and look up how to use them on youtube.

Thanks for the answers! How is the game in terms of optimization? Squad, Arma, really lags for me. Is this standalone optimized? Also, how big (are) is the map? Are the multiple maps? What kind of gamemodes? Also, how many players are online, both peak hours, and non peak?

no lag. There is a big variety of maps and assets ranging from 1 sqkm to 4 . During peak you will find at least 1 full server every day of the week and several on weekends.

Where is the installer? I thought i downloaded the game, but it was a ISO. I had to burn it to a CD. Where is the .exe file?

Yes, i have been there a million times. Lets get this straight;

I said; You need to burn this game to a CD? someone said: No, you don't.

Now, where is the non ISO file? i can only find the ISO download file. No .exe file..

Dude I've already answered most of your questions.

Calm down re read YOUR thread click on the links and read them.

This game is based on a 2005 game so it is far less graphically demanding than squad or Arma. If you are still worried post your PC specs so we can estimate.

Am I right in thinking the guide is out of date in that win10 supports .iso without third party software now?

.ISO file does not need to be installed to a CD, but you need to "trick" your computer into thinking it has that file on a CD. How to should be in the guide on installing posted earlier in the thread.

Stottergek: Install Total Commander. This allows you to extract the ISO file somewhere so you can run the installer. I also believe WinZip or WinRAR does the job.

Shit-for-brains, anyone?

Gek, get in voice comms with someone so you are able to VERBALLY be talked through these steps which you apparently are unable to do by reading them yourself.

When that is said, a world is about to open infront of you during your first online PR battles.

Enjoy.
