Is HAT nerfed to oblivion?

How are we supposed to utilize the Heavy Anti Tank kit?
The example below is not the first case I wasted my efforts in attempting to hit a tank. It's the first case I recorded.

It spirals in the air, aim up a bit and then back down onto your target and it should work fine, just takes a bit of practice.

I'm not sure why the HATs in PR have recoil, since most of them are, in fact, recoilless. I know that some of the guided HATs have a downwards recoil so I always aim a bit above the target(which also prevents the missile from spiraling into the ground). Practice makes perfect.

Edit: One problem that does exist however is rear armour hits not damaging the tank to the point of destruction, I mean like what the hell? If that's intended then please give us the 2nd kit back.

Start local game with RCON enabled.

F.ex. as MEC, type in "rcon spawner mec_at" and you'll get a HAT kit at your feet.

rcon spawner ger_at
rcon spawner us_at
rcon spawner usa_at

rcon spawner ru_at
rcon spawner fr_at
etc etc

Pretty sure the Chinese HAT always kills the Challenger 2 when it hits it in the back.

Another reason to aim up is you dont get blind by the smoke trail.

Third reason to aim up is that you can fire instantly without waiting for deviation, after being fired missile will guide to target anyway.

doesn't work for eryx iirc, only SRAW.

There is a lot of inconcistensies in the AT system to begin with. Sometimes you'll shot someone in the rear armor and they will just start smoking. Other times it'll straight up kill them. So my advice is just to shoot at stuff you know you can kill, like APC's and IFV's. Shooting at tanks can provide a challenge even for the 9M113 fired from the BMP-2. A lot of the times, even if you hit them with it on the rear armor, you'll have to put a few AP shots to make it go down.
The damage varies due to terrain, previous hits etc...
A good tactic for smaller maps is a HAT + LAT combo. It works wonders on Kozelsk. Now you just need to put about 10 minutes in a local server to understand how a HAT kit works and you'll be good to go. :D

The ATGM doesn't necesseraly need to kill to be effective, hit one tank with an HAT you can be pretty sure he will rtb immediatly and never going back to the position where he was before.

As for the rear armour hits my advice is toalways have a plan B. Even if it's just - Run awwaaay!
