NSDAP symbolism in PR

alright, I know about the laws in germany and some other countries regarding NSDAP/Nazi symbolism in games.
but would it be possible to have a clean and a ''non-clean'' version?
for example, there's no problem with putting up a game on the internet with nazi symbolism, as far as i know it's just a couple of texture changes (flags, Gruppenf?hrer(commander) helmet) so it won't take that long either.
and if you guys are not willing to make it, would it be possible if for example i made it, and put it up here when PR:WW2 is released for people that want it? so it would be like that PR:ENB that's been goin' round.

I am very exited about PR:WW2, and last years alpha was amazing, although the lack of original flags was for me, a big dissapointment.

As far as I know, there's no way we can do this when it comes to different clients using different textures. Changing the textures client-side may kick you out with an error. I know that we won't be doing this due to the reasons you've stated (controversial for many and not worth the hassle), but if you'd like you could experiment when it eventually releases.

My guess changing the textures locally will work fine in a local server, but as soon as you try to connect to an online server you'll be kicked out for files not being the same. I've never tried it myself before though so I've got no clue.

The game wont let you launch it. A while ago I tried to change the M1 Garand sound to the M14 sound, and it wouldn't let me start my game.

makes sense, ill try to cook something up when it's here, it would be awesome for Filming purposes.

Well in FH2 we have people releasing custom texture packs, so I guess it is possible to connect to servers with these.

Wont work in PR as the launcher checks for modified files. Installing any custom content into PR will make you unable to play online.

If you are disappointed about PR:WW2 because it lacks swastikas then I recommend seeing a psychiatrist, or a prostitute.

Grow up.

I think it's the people that are trying to hide history that need to grow up.
If i want to see swastika's in a game i need a psychiatrist or a prostitute?

you're the reason why the average IQ in america is low aren't you?

You don't even know what they did to our country(and others). And they are now trying to hide their history? Why they are hiding their cruel history and the truth. THEA'RE the only one who would see NAZI symbols to the end of Germany. Cause they should know what they did. They started both WWs. But sorry i forgot you're American you don't know anything. (No offense to all German people here, but i think you understand me)

I'd advise you to watch yourself and stay on topic. Don't turn this into a rage thread.

This isn't about Germany hiding their history, this is about a video game using commonly controversial symbols.

germany defintly doesnt hide its history. everybody learns about it in school, there are monuments all over the place for the civilian losses and the jews.
i think we are the only country who handles its bad history good. just look at russia, china and turkey for example.
i dont think it would be worth it to add that stuff. the iron cross is sufficent enough imo.

It is a good idea to insert these symbols in the game because it is a history truth. if you want to hide symbols you must hide england , american, russia and many other countries flags in the game. almost every country especially those I named above are criminal but because they won the last war, now it is imagined they are good but it is not true.
and you know usa england and russia and others want to have something for political reason for limiting germans and for convincing others to say: look, germans are bad, we are good so come to my campaign and be my friend for killing my enemies. :D

there is no good in this world so shut up and take it easy.

They aren't hiding US, English or Russian symbols because neither of those nations started a war under their own genocidal ideology that has consumed millions of lives in the process and they aren't prohibited in most of Europe. If you want to see their symbols of them go to your local museum or take a peek into your history books.

Not sure why we are having this discussion tbh. It's getting way to personal and the end result is still the same: we won't do it cause it's not legal for certain countries and we don't wish to alienate certain players. If you so desperately crave nazi symbols play something else.
