PR will launch but then closes again

Hey i recently had to reinstall my operating system and change around some hard ware so i have had to reinstall all my games and i have been having a problem with PR where it will start up give me the start up screen where you log in to the account you use and all that i will hit start the game the screen will go black and then it will close itself back down and i have not been able to get to the actual game home screen. If someone could try and help and tell me what i have done wrong please do ill probably be on the forum all day.

you need to install the prerequisites to play, this includes microsoft NET and direct X

yes, this is your first monitor:

what kind of monitor is this? HDTV?
you need 60 Hz to play PR. if you run it out of your second monitor, it will work fine

Hey i updated my refresh rate to 60 for both monitors and still the same error. I have recently also tried to reinstall the game completely and that did not change anything. Is it worth trying to create a new username and stuff just in case? And thanks again for all the help your giving me.

can you copy and paste your specs from launcher again please?
how did you "update" your refresh rate?
try this: disconnect your first monitor, restart PC, and try running PR with just that monitor. what happens? if you crash, run again in windows mode, what happens?

there you go: I just went into the control pannel for my graphics card (which is shit and terrible) and changed it from there; Also what do you mean when you say in windows mode?
I have just tried with the one monitor and the same thing happened.

to open game in windows mode:
prlauncher>options>video>untick full screen
launch and see if you get an error
also try 800x600 resolution in windows mode, in case you don't get an error

Ok so this is wired i did what you recomended and put it in 800*600 and it came up with an Error that says:

go to your profile in your documents/projectreality/profiles/000x
how many files do you see in there?
open this dropbox, if you're missing anything, download and save it in there, then config your settings and try running game again

Yep so i see 8 and there are 8 in the drop box was going to attach the screen shot but cant find out how to on this thing

try the following then:
PRlauncher->Options->Press the Big Blue Button that says Reset All Profiles. ->Click Apply.
Shutdown PRLauncher,
Restart Prlauncher.
PRlauncher->Options->Video Tab->Adjust your video settings->Click Apply
Try to start PR.
make sure you set your native resolution with correct refresh rate.
if that doesn't work, download the video.con file from the dropbox and overwrite the one in your profile, change resolution to native and test

Still not i really dont get whats going on
The game worked fine before i had to wipe my computer so this is really odd.

the symptoms you're presenting sounds like a direct x issue or missing a driver.. could be more to it. are you sure you have all the windows updates and latest devices required, using full admin?

Should do but i will check again i know for sure i have all the directx updates needed ill have another look at the drivers and see if that the problem

go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2
run prbf2.exe, using admin mode (right click)

ok where would i find that in that perticular file?
Is it in one of the sub files or am i missing something?
