I want to start using OBS to record PR, but it seems that I can't do that. I set everything in the settings to be OK, but when I start to record in-game, later I get videos with a black screen, although it records in-game sounds just fine. I wanted to ask more experienced players with this recorder, how do I set it up to work correctly?

What kind of scene are you using? Are you doing a Monitor, Window, or Application Capture?

I use game capture.

I find that I always have to refresh and reselect the application (PRBF2) in the Game Capture settings window once the game is running.

Should I start recording before turning on the game, or should I press the hotkey in-game?

You can start recording anytime. The main thing is that you must have the current instance of the game selected in the Game Capture settings window. If you start the game before OBS, the current instance should be at the top of the list. If you start OBS first, you will need to refresh the list to see it.
