Isn't it completely unrealistic? Considering these weapons have never been used in this part of the world during WW2

Even if they would get some, it's 70 years old and it's not the same caliber as an AK or a Mosin or any other weapon except for MG3 maybe.

Did you miss all the sgt44s found in Syria? Even though they may lack the ammo, etc to use them in large numbers its a tribute to that.

I also read somewhere that Iraq insurgents where using some. Many arabs countrys got STG-44s from russia after ww2, and some of them got to the insurgents eventually in recent yeats.

Why would someone use stg44 over ak47/74 irl, thats the question. Ak-47 is just idiot proof

Don't know the reasons, but they used it. Maybe there wasn't Ak for everybody, or some just tought they were "cool".
You can actually find some pictures of STGs in the hands of insurgents, hard to say if it's just to show off or actual use thought.

Slower rate of fire, harder field maintenance, ammunition not same with AK-47, probably more unreliable than other guns they use. You gotta miss half of your brains if you think STG-44 is an AK-47.

Umm, probably because Ak47s don't fall from the sky magically? You've got to take what you get. Why would they just throw away/not use a rifle that is capable of killing someone?

Higher accuracy, better control when firing in automatic.

while we're on the subject of syria can we have marksman FN FALs?(would be absolutely epic) Also from most of the pics i've seen that is mostly how it's used.

I'm might be wrong but i think either the spoter or marksman alternative kits for the Syrian Rebels have a scoped FAL.

EDIT: i looked it up and seems i'm wrong. maybe it was changed since i remember the spotter having it. maybe i was thinking of the m-16 for the marksman, has been while since the last time i played sbeneh.

Wait, which insurgent class gets StG?

It's the pick up engineer kit for Iraqi Insurgents and the spotter for the Syrian Rebels. I think ARF got them too, but i don't remember wich class.

Having it for the Iraqi CE is really annoying TBH. It's one the weapons that have no reason for being there, along with the AKS-74u. STG should Syrian Rebel spotter only IMHO.
