Clanmates

Every god damn time. "Clans" spamming the squad buttons to claim assets, lock it and sit there waiting in the squads for their "clanmates" to join.

What's even worse is that the people they kick are stuck joining useless squads like Recon or Sniper or Free infantry, cause every fucking decent infantry squad is full.

I swear to god every server should ban this behaviour. Project Reality is a social game, if you can't be social with other people you shouldn't be playing this game.

The truth is this game has been filling up with low level skill scrubs who come only to spam mumble(aka teamwork) and ask you what to do while in your squad.Infact, having a working push-to-mute button for mumble is probably the best feature of this game.
Playing with random people who do this shit in your squad isn't teamworking. It's more like something that gives you headaches for the rest of the round. And im not even talking about using assets with them lol..imagine then.

One possible solution is to befriend such clans, and then they will let you play with them.

Like I said in the reddit topic:

I've seen people lock a CAS squad (just him in it) at the start of the game, for his buddies that join 15-20 minutes later so they can have all the assets.

While there are people that have been playing in the server for multiple games already waiting for that map with their favourite assets to come, just to get kicked by these kind of douchebags.

Do you guys really think stuff like this should be allowed?

I mean what's the problem? Rules are rules. If you get the assetsquad you choose what to do with it. Sometimes you don't always get what you want in life. Sometimes I want to do CAS but someone else has it, but that's not a problem. Sometimes I get it myself and wanna do it with my friends. Why should I give it away to you or some random guy if I don't want to?

It's not like you are entitled to get an asset just because you really want to have it. If you wanna do tanks or whatever try to get the squad.

If you're butthurt because "clans" are taking the assets you want you've just got to be quicker on the "Create" button. If you're butthurt because decent players get together and help the whole team I really don't understand what you're on about.

Get some friends and rent a TS server. You'll see why people act the way they do.

And yes, Project Reality is a social game, and the ones getting together to play are the most social of them all.

Or servers should enforce a rule that doesn't allow people to lock a squad unless they have the amount of people required to man their entitled assets.

Then you just kick the randoms whenever your friends come so it won't make any difference.

This rule is in place and enforced on most servers. It is, however, perfectly fine to have your squad locked if further people are coming that are currently loading in. I have not witnessed what you said was one guy claiming the squad and then waiting for his buddies for almost 30 minutes.

If you encounter Clan-inf squads and you like to join them, ask in team chat if they can open for you, most of them will do so if they have a spot and you know how to behave :D

This.

When you keep a squad open at the beginning of a game, all you ever really get is

A) no mic
B) mic spammers
C) someone who has no clue what to do and is only there to get you killed (which is often associated with A and/or B)

Play with an organized group of people who have any level of idea what they are doing, and you'll see the game in a different way. It's better to play with those people you already know won't do what I described above than having to get a headache.

Uhm excuse me but I'd rather shoot myself in the head than go on teamspeak while playing Project Reality.

The game offers it's own perfect in game voice chat (which I can assume was put a lot of work into), so why is a second VOIP program even necessary? For gameplay purposes they even put limited voice chat so you can't just communicate with whoever from across the map.

I've seen rounds where jet pilots get their intel DIRECTLY from their buddies on teamspeak, or joined squads that were dead silent because they'd only talk over teamspeak or skype. It's disgusting.

do you really think you're going to change the way we're playing for YEARS with that jelly thread? go find some friends

Teamspeak isn't just for PR, it's for other games as well as just hanging out. Do you really expect friends to leave the Teamspeak server because they're playing PR with 95 other people on a server? No. Besides, you're implying those type of people don't use Mumble at all, which is wrong. If anything it's the complete opposite, where organized people do what they can to keep the communication on a proper level, whereas "regluar pubbies" and smurfs don't really care at all.

What's wrong with direct intel via TS? Only the pilot and his spotter(s) care about CAS-targets, therefore it's a great way to minimize irrelevant comms for others.

I honestly don't know if you're trolling or are just less intelligent than normal human beings. Either way I don't see this thread going anywhere.

Fact - using Teamspeak to directly communicate limits comm spam.

For example, a spotter and a jet pilot are in different squads. Instead of said spotter asking his SL to tell the CAS SL to tell the jet pilot to hit a laze, you can just tell the pilot over TS and the he'll will quickly ask his SL for a mark.

dude all this assets thing is not for casual players .
because there like 6 clan members wait for that 1:30 to make Cas \ tank or wateva squad .
if u join u get kicked . if u ask to join u get kicked .
if u make the squad first . they will just make new squad with "Abrams" or "Apachi AH-64" squad and will claim the asset .
be more like me just play infantry and you will get more fun .

because even if you will get the cas and you will get killed in first like 10 min . u will be kicked .
only yesterday there was some dudes taking russian Cas . flying for like 3 min and got unlucky by my 1337 AA missle . they got kicked for "Asset Waste"

Dude, this is why the devs put in a communication chain... so exactly this wouldn't happen. It's like you guys don't get the objective behind this game anymore? You just saying this is what proves my point, you clans completely lost the idea behind Project Reality.

Just one message to the Devs: This is what the core playerbase turned into, It's mostly a bunch of guys using ********* motives to hoard all the assets because they consider others not worthy of taking them because they are more "skilled". There can atleast be made some changes I hope to remove some of the douchebaggery.

And no I'm not whining cause I never get to play assets. The first time I played this game was 8 years ago, I play assets 80% of the time cause I suck at infantry stuff (except LATs ;d). It's those damn elitist douchebags I'm sick off. Clans shouldn't get priviliges on servers and ruin the experience for others.

Sup bro, I'm in my masters for Electromechanical Engineering. You know what that means? They even give me a fucking title. I definitely see this thread going somewhere, I fail to see you going anywhere though.

Yes, the idea behind Project Reality has always been about Mumble spam and incompetent people wasting assets.
B2P1 wrote:Clans shouldn't get priviliges on servers and ruin the experience for others.
If someone gets the squad first, it's because they made it before someone else. It's not "reserved" for clans.
