[WIP] MIG-27K

I am a beginner in modelling,just started last month and would like to showcase MIG-27K ground attack aircraft. :|
Right now the smooth mesh modifier is not applied due to issues with the nose of the aircraft.

Why would you use MiG-27k if normal MiG-27 does the same and costs 40 points less? :p

To rPoXoTauJIo:My plan is to model,texture and make LODs and submit it to the Devs for further exporting and all, cause i don't know how to code for this and all that development, i still don't know how to texture and make LODs yet,but i am planning on learning as soon as the model gets done.

To [R-DEV]Mats391 :sorry, i didn't understand the point system. please elaborate.I used model 'K' because that's the one i got specifications for on Wikipedia.

To[R-CON]Zeno: Yes sir i did use 3ds max 9,as i got inspired by other people making models and so kept track and saw [R-Dev]Rhino's advice to make it in 3ds max 9,so that it's easier to export.




I need to know which parts i need to detach for animations and what is the max allowed poly count for this.

I just made joke about Wargame, dont mind me :)
For which faction are you making the MiG-27? Seems like it is no longer used by Russia etc. and only used by India. Personally i would love an indian faction, but there are more obstacles than jets to make it a reality :)

To [R-DEV]Mats391 and [R-CON]Zeno: I leave that up to you guys to decide where to use it, which factions can use it etc ;-) . I don't dare think of making an Indian faction,as i have seen Scandinavian factions that it's just too much work and i don't have a team.

Well it could always be part of the training map.
Shame that in such a enormous country like India with so many people
you cannot find enough people to make Indian faction for PR :\

To Rabbit:Looks nice.Why isn't it in game?... I was thinking of converting MIG 27's model a little bit to make a MIG 23, so we can have both :-) .


To simeon5541:If it would just be a part of the training map,everyone won't be able to enjoy it.I don't have a team because i am not around people who are enthusiastic about games and i too don't have any experience in modding :sad: .

To Navo: What are your thoughts about the model? please share.

I think as the BTR family isn't modernized in Russian forces, having an extra asset that may or may not be modern won't hurt provided if everything turns out well and i have read somewhere that although certain assets are not in use currently IRL, they just got retired in 2010 or some recent year means if we can have BTR versions of the 90s then we can have assets that recently got retired.And some assets are just in reserves which means they can be a part of that particular force if required.

According to the German Wikipedia Iran's using it. Though MEC doesn't lack airforce variety it sure doesn't hurt giving more options to the map makers.

That is a false information.Iran never used that type of aircraft.

Iran has nine MiG-23 flown from Iraq in storage,but they never became operational.

Does this landing gear looks okay or do i need to add more of hydraulic cylinders?
There are four separate objects which all are currently separate from the fuselage.
The four separate object are as follows
1-Hydraulics.
2-Axle.
3-Wheel and tire combined.
4-Part of the fuselage that sits on top of the wheel.

MiG-27 was user or is still used by Russia and India.MiG-27 is good attack jet,and it be really good in PR.But we dont have country to use MiG-27.Still its good job.You can use your experince from MiG-27 and make Su-24 fighter-bomber.Su-24 can be F-15E for the MEC.It can gez on place of two Su-22 on K..... i forgote name of the map.

To Aleksa2000SM:Sure ,i would love to make the other aircrafts but i wonder if this would be PR standard or not, and its up to Devs to decide and its depends on whether MEC uses Su-24s in real life or not,because this is PR .The map you're talking about is Khamisiyah(don't know which layer).
