Landmines:
Be smart with mines mark them on the map and make sure you communicate to the team where they are.

Admins can ask you to unlock if there are too many locked squads.

Unassigned players:
All players must be in squad, or you will be kicked.

Heavy Asset Rules:

Population vs. Heavy Assets:
20v20 for heavy assets. Asset Squads must be clearly named (Tank, Apc, Cas, Mortars, etc.) Priority goes to the first properly named squad. Light Vehicles are not claimable assets this includes SPG techie and CROW. If you are unsure if an asset is claimable ask an admin.

New to assets:
If you don?t know how to use an asset, please don?t use it.
Wasting assets is giving away free tickets to the enemy team.
Either train on your own time on a co-op server, or work with someone who knows what they are doing and could train you.

Asset Wasting/Stealing:
Stealing assets away from the proper squad is against the rules. If you do not return the asset back to main you will be kicked or banned. Wasting assets constitutes intentional destruction of assets. Asset wasting will get you kicked or banned.

Game Mode Rules:

Assault and Secure (AAS):

Baserape:

Baserape is defined as intentionally firing or intending to fire into the enemy main base.
The enemy mainbase is the uncappable flag or unique Dome of Death protected areas on the map. (ie: the VCP on Sbeneh Outskirts)
On the few maps where there is no uncappable flag the main base is located at asset spawn along with repair bay.
If you are suspected of baserape you will be WARNED first refusal to comply with moving out of the area will get you kicked or banned depending on the severity of the offense.
Firing from mainbase is also not allowed on AAS if you are engaging hostile forces from your mainbase then don?t complain when they are allowed to return fire (ie: ZPU in Jabal at MEC Mainbase).
In the event the mainbase becomes a cappable flag then the protection of baserape falls as the flag is now an attackable location.

Insurgency (INS):

Baserape:

Baserape on Insurgency is no longer allowed until such a time the community wants it to return.

Skirmish (SKR):

Baserape:

Baserape on Skirmish is determined by team spawn. Players are not allowed to fire directly into the enemy spawn until all flags are capped towards one faction.

ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS ABOUT RULES CAN BE TAKEN TO OUR FORUMS OR DIRECTED AT AN ADMIN EITHER IN-GAME OR ON OUR TEAMSPEAK.

Takes around 20 secs to change maps in between rounds, it's pretty neat. Server admins are fine, but one of them is a frenchy, which is..... Ok, I guess :3

Great night overall last night!

rules edited to reflect recent gameplay. We have seen that people are unfamiliar with the baserape rule and that on some maps it is more unfair than others. So we have added Lashkar Valley to the list of exceptions. Heavy Asset rule has also been clarified.

theDaarkness wrote: Insurgency (INS):

Baserape:

Baserape on Insurgency has unique rulings on =]H[= Hardcore.
In keeping with tradition Baserape will be allowed on Insurgency to keep it realistic.
HOWEVER BASERAPE WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED AGAINST BLUFOR TARGETS BY THE INSURGENT TEAM The Blufor team is not allowed to attack enemy mains unless they are engaged upon from the enemy base in which case they are allowed to return defensive fire.
Blufor is also allowed to fire out of its own main in order to defend it from enemy assault.
Although we like to mix things up a bit we know baserape can be frustrating with smaller player counts so to counteract this Baserape will only allowed at player counts equal to or greater of 30v30.(BASERAPE DOES NOT APPLY TO KORENGAL VALLEY AND LASHKAR VALLEY)
what a shit load of fuck....

We removed the Baserape rule a few hours ago, Waiting to for Daarkness to edit the rules.

It worked in the past, (Pre v.0.98 ), but we realized after a few days that the v1.x gameplay and player base is incompatible with it for now.
And it also require a lot of micro-management.

Sad to see it go. But it's for the best, for now. Might have it back for an event or once the community is more prepared for what is in store. Rules edited

Problem is, its waaay too easy to base rape as insurgents. You can just drive a garry against the walls of main and blow everything up inside, the explosion doesn't care about your hescos

Well the way it worked in the past players were more readily prepared for that. Defending main was a regular part of playing on our server. When Gary spawned you were safe to assume one was heading for your base. It's been so long though that people need to relearn to deal with it. In the meantime baserape is disabled until further notice

The whole "camp main" always lead to admins having to police how it was used, it was almost always more effort than it was worth in the past. Glad to see you guys are open to attempt something out of the ordinary though.

You mean SPGs and Techies. Or better yet Kokan before they moved the mainbase back, having bombcars and ammo techies rushing into your main and killing all the vehicles and players that were standing around.

I almost forgot about that. Making roadblocks of supply crates in front of the Kokan main to avoid ammo techies crashing into the helicopters.

Jokes aside our server is the most stable I've seen. On launch it went 24 hours without a crash. Now If only people would reload after a crash lol.
