i've been trying to play pr (v.1.3.9) for a while now since i got my new laptop
but 9 times out of 10 when i try to spawn in PR:single player i CANT SPAWN
all i get is the battle field view but NO spawn screen, no class select, no map, nothing except the view of the map that would normally have the spawn menu overlay-ed on it.

ive been having this issue for awhile now since the last update...PLEASE HELP

umm did you clicked on "deploy" Button on the left side bottom corner ? see your screen shot again..

Add map first -----> then click deploy .... it should load the map after that.

Yeah he did that, problem is the spawn screen with kits doesn't show up. Only thing I can think of is he didn't press enter on keyboard. If it still doesn't work I guess a reinstall might fix it.

Pressing enter shouldn't be necessary; the spawn screen should show up automatically after a short while.

Feel like you alttabbed out and back in and are having the win8/10 bug.

exactly AND as ive seen after a few google searches of this problem im NOT the only person w/ this prob,

as show on the screens there is NO spawn screen and obviouslythe map loads as also shown in the screens

no alt tabbing i wait for thr map or maps to load but stil no spawn screen, ive been dealing with this issue for a while now, ever since the update, its also done this on my win7 system

and YES ive MULTIPLE reinstalls as well even redownloading the latest client via the torrent download link provided on this site

# of reinstalls so far - 5

# of redownloading client - 3

# of spawns - about 3 (why i say 3 is ive managed to spawn a few time but when i die i just get the same bug)

any help?!?!?!?

No fix other than what was said as far as I know. I know every time I try to play a bot game in local I have the same issue. I just don't typically play local bots anymore. Best I can say would be try to head over to a coop server unless someone else brings up a fix.

Maybe it could be a corrupted graphics card update.

Uninstall the software/driver of your graphics card, and then download the latest version. Though if that's your only graphics card, then just download the latest version.
Then reinstall DirectX9 https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/downloa ... x?id=34429

If that didn't work, don't know if this will fix anything, but try disabling AA in the PRLauncher. Go to Options, and then set Anti-Aliasing to Off.

Another solution is to go to Project Reality (in-game's) Options, Controls and then click on reset and apply.

This game was released in 2006 so it has only two officially supported operational systems WinXP and Vista. Running game on something other than that is you trying to stretch system requirements, and it means that your game experience can be... interesting.
