I don't mean to be a pest and I do understand there have been major delays due to personal issues as well as hardware and software difficulties.

I just want to ask what we are all thinking.

When are we expecting 1.4? There was a 4 month gap between the last two major updates (1.3/1.35). If this update is so large it's taken over seven months why haven't we seen a 1.3.9.5? Just some brain food to digest.

I encourage discussion from players but also look forward to comments from devs and insiders.

I've been around for a while I'm not new and I do understand it takes time but even some screenshots or a new dev blog here and there to keep us from starving would be nice.

Because of the nature of the OP's question I kinda knew someone would mock him instead of giving a constructive answer. Obviously no one is expecting an exact date, but can't one of the dev's give us at least some sort of idea as to how much longer before the update releases ?

thank you. I may appear to be new, this is because i only recently decided to make forum account.

There's no way the Devs can tell when it's coming out, it might be "done" by tomorrow, then they do some tests and find a game-breaking bug that needs to be fixed before release, this could take hours, days, weeks, and even when that's done they have to do some more testing to see if the bug was indeed solved and if there isn't any other bug that needs attention.

The biggest point of 1.4 is the Falklands mini-mod, and Rhino mentioned that the project had to be delayed because of issues with real life, because as opposed to what you might think, Devs aren't robots that stand all day making the mod, they have a life, family, work, and issues related to those things, so they are priority over something that they do for love without getting paid anything for, and yet people feel on the right to pressure the Devs over something they don't pay for. Seven months? So what? From 0.98 to 1.0 it was what? 2 years? And you know what people did? They waited. There were of course some people that asked every 2 days when the release was coming, but in the end it was worth it. Just be patient.

It is apparent to me that you failed to read the original post in which i clearly stated that i knew the devs had had issues including irl. This thread was meant to be a friendly discussion yeet two of the first three replys have been extremely hostile. pleasw lets keep this as a friendly thread.

Both generic gamer and mickey mouse are troll accounts made by the devs, the release is surely this weekend or next if this thread hasn't already been locked...

But for real guys I wouldn't care if i had to wait another seven months. this thread was just made to start discussion.

If this thread gets locked so be it i just want to see if other people are as excited about 1.4 as i am no matter when it comes

Usual answer applies, it's done when it's done.

But the longer it takes the bigger the release becomes, and 1.4 is shaping up to be quite a cool release.

I don't know how this graph works technically, but it seems that we're quite far away after all. But there's no hurry - better a smooth first day product then countless bug fixes after the initial release.

Someone dropped the flash drive with update on it and it rolled under the couch. So far we couldnt find a broom to get it out
