Does having no fire mode indicator annoy you?

The inability to know if you are in single or auto/burst is something which annoys me and a lot of my clan members immensely on a daily basis. :(

I always have to end up firing and potentially giving away my position to know.

Please vote to say if you also find this a problem.

I've asked the dev's if there is anyway that when you change mode something can show to say what mode you are in but i'd like to see how the community feels about it to support the request.

Look in the bottom right hand corner of your screen it will be like

1-3

Which means you are on single shot and have 3 clips left. If thats not your answer I misunderstood your question.

Yep, bottom right hand corner. Two numbers. One is your fire setting, the other is your ammo

I think it is most likely a left over from filming with fraps!!!

get in video options and turn HUD transparency on.

To remove all graphics but flags off the screen to take vids and screenshots, press the ` key (above TAB) and type :

renderer.drawHud 0

to turn everything off and :

renderer.drawHud 1

to turn it all back on.

you cant pull up the map to change spawn points but your keys will work including basic weapons selection.

Can a moderator edit the poll to add the option "no, because there IS a fire mode indicator"?

I didn't know what to vote. There was not, "This is a dumb questiopn, it's right on the bottom right" option.

Then again, I had BF2 for over a year before I noticed you can X away the kit selection screen when dead if you want to see text or free roam.

ffs :o ops:

In 1182 hours of playing BF2 + mods i've never looked at that little number...

Thank to those who have kindly pointed out the feature already exists.

And special thanks to the clan members who have now told me despite me complaining about it all the time on TS!

Oh well, what I want I now have. Job done. 8)

Yeah I only found that out about a year ago...

Maybe I should read manuals or something.

Likewise...

Oh well, hopefully i'll never have to give away my position again or face the annoying run round the corner and face a squad head on with only single shot to deal with it.

If there's ever a "forums greatest moments" this needs to be included.
