Hi,

I am always getting the disconnected icon on the bottom right while in-game, I can't hear anyone talking and I also can't use the microphone. I have tried restarting PR Mumble from the tray icon, but it still wont work.

I have Windows 8.1 Pro x64 and using Windows Firewall (Checked the exception list). My microphone and speakers are working flawlessly. So anyone has a fix?

I have fixed this problem, it is my ISP blocking VOIP connections.

The fix:

1- Go to this link and get a RELIABLE http proxy (Preferably Anonymous HTTP) which is in a voip-unblocked country close to yours.
2- Open PR Mumble from <PRDIR>/mods/pr/bin/PRMumble/PRMumble.exe
3- Go to Configure -> Settings -> Network (Enable advanced) -> Choose "HTTP(S) proxy" from under Proxy -> Input the proxy's IP (Hostname) and Port that you have chosen from the link above.
4- Apply, OK and exit PR Mumble.
*5- Try playing, if it doesn't work or it works but the voices are laggy and unclear, choose another proxy.

Have you tried other servers? Navigate to mumble and PR and make sure it is running as admin

Manually connecting to servers works without problems.

Second time: Navigate to mumble.exe Programfiles/PR/Mods/pr/bin/PRMumble right click and make sure running as admin.
Do the same with PRlauncher.

How do you manually launch mumble?

So it won't automatically connect to any deployment servers? but it works to COOP servers am I right?

I don't manually launch Mumble, it launches automatically when I start PR through PR Launcher, what I meant was that I have tried using PR Mumble GUI to connect to some random servers and channels in the server/channel list.

Tried changing compatibility settings for the .exe, doesn't work.

Has it ever worked?

I don't know really know it is presumably the part of the process where the game tells position to mumble either server or client side I saw a link.dll file in

C:\programfiles (x86)\PR\mods\pr\bin\PRmumble\plugins\link.dll

Mine is 19,368 bytes in size with full permissions,


otherwise I would uninstall PR including Documents and the appdata files:

C:\Users\??????\AppData\Local\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2\Downloads

C:\Users\Asus\AppData\Local\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2\UpdateLog

Reinstall using a different version torrent would be the best choice for me.

It worked on my other Win 8.1 X64 computer (Which is broken now.) On this laptop, never.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling 2 times (Removed Appdata/Temp(And roam)/Project Reality and Documents/Project Reality), tried also creating a new certificate.

I have read some posts about PR Mumble being blocked in some countries (I am not from UK btw), but does that blocking also include that I can't manually connect to any server using PR Mumble (Which worked for me as stated previously)?

Try this >>
Go to mumble settings > network , and under connection , check the boxes next to "Force TCP mode" and "Reconnect automatically" options !
This helped me before , I hope it can fix your problem too !

ahh where are you, yes many Middle East and Morocco are blocking VOIP programs.

Yeah I am from the middle east, but it used to work on my other computer on the same network, and it works if I connect to channels in the Connect list.

Update: I have added the IP that mumble is trying to connect to in my Favorite list in Mumble, it shows that the server's ping is 1400+ which is really high. When I try connecting to servers with pings below 700 it connects normally, but it doesn't connect to ones above that. The weird thing is that my ping is good in-game.

There is one or two recent threads about coup blocking I think in support.

The worst the ISP can do is block the port of Mumble (64740) since the ISP can't even detect that the packets are from Mumble/TS3 or not, since they are encrypted. I am not from the gulf countries whom restricted Skype and such.

I have tested port 64740 on global servers with this port open and I could connect normally, so my ISP hasn't blocked anything. It might be that PR servers are blocking us not them... Or European ISPs.

If our ISP has blocked Mumble, then how come we can connect through PR Mumble to many servers in the server list?

Why would my country block mumble and not Skype (Which is also encrypted and more commonly used?)

UPDATE: Nevermind, its from my ISP, tried using a VPN and it worked. It would be really great if you would find us a better solution than VPNs.
