Project Reality Fighter Jet Pilot Kit?

Hi there,

Being a fan of PR for almost 5 years I have noticed the absence of discussion regarding the appropriate kit dedicated for fighter jet pilot, which basically includes the gas mask like vanilla BF2 pilots do: In BF2 players will wear gas mask and helmet when they hop into the jet, however in PR the players can only take the helicopter pilot kit to fly, which is somewhat a let down.

By considering this issue I wonder if the devs can add a fighter jet pilot kit to differentiate from that of the chopper's?

We have talked in the past about possibly seprating pilot kits into rototary and fixed wing pilot kits, but we feel this might just add more to the confusion with little benefit, other than slightly diffrent kit loadouts ie, heli pilot kit maybe getting a SMG rather than just a pistol and no parachute, with the jet pilot kit, keeping parachute and pistol.

But having the guy run around outside the jet with his Oxygen Mask (not gas mask btw, its to provide the pilot with more oxygen at high altitudes where the air is thinner) and isn't put on until the pilot is in the cockpit and connects it to the jets oxygen system.

In the long term we hope we can rework our kits system so that we can use the same system vBF2 uses where when you get into a jet, you automatically change your kit geom, so that when a pilot jumps in a jet, he will have his oxygen mask on, but this will take quite a bit of rework to achive for only a few small benefits.

One suggestion to separate the different functions, it would be the "kit logistics pilot' (transport aircraft) and "fighter pilot Kit "(combat aircraft).

The logistics pilot kit, would be equipped with the rescue related items: Epipen, Medicals Suplys and etc, not armed.
The fighter pilot kit, equipped with parachutes and pistol.

Or, you could give the Logistic (better be renamed to Heli Pilot) a SMG/pistol no parachute, and give him the ability to sat in any place on the chopper, while the Plane Pilot, would get a Pistol/nothing, a parachute, and be not able to get in a chopper...

But yet it is unecessary Hard work

The British pilot from the old kit geos had the mask. I miss those models.

Standard pilot could use the smg and no parachute with the ability to sit anywhere, alt choice would be the current one, for fixed wing only.

Back in the days, when mumble proximity chat was still audible to the enemy, ejecting was fun. Especially in helos on insurgency maps.

Just give him the smg and no parachute. I don't think I have ever seen a pilot not go down with the jet.

There's tons of tryhards that bail from jets, lets not pretend it doesn't happen :D

But IMO suggestion is dumb, no point in making 2 kits for air vehicles.

Multifunction kits, makes room for "Vanilla" and individuality in PR.

Kits directed to a single function, stimulates SQUAD WORK and TEAMWORK because does not allow individuality. And I think that's what the "Project Reality" teaches.
