Bear in mind:
-this is not criticism
-I don't mind if you don't use these ideas
-you > me
With that in mind, here goes.
Handheld weapons
Sage Mark 14 Mod 0 EBR
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Sta ... ttle_Rifle
Well, it's a big, 7.62x51 caliber rifle, basically an M14, with a bunch of M1913 rails slapped on it and a new synthetic stock (see Bob_Marley's sig.) I don't know much about this to be honest.
Thales Starstreak HVM
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starstreak_missile
Replace the FIM-92A for the British team with this. It's hard to describe in a nutshell, but I'll try. Basically it's like a Stinger in that it launches a missile and it's for air defense, but that's where the similarities end. The missile launches and goes to Mach 3.5, then launches 3 submunitions. It is laser-guided/SACLOS. Read the article and its links, I can't describe it.
Norinco QBZ-03
http://world.guns.ru/assault/as80-e.htm
That's the best I can do. Basically everything else is in Chinese.
Heckler & Koch HK79
http://world.guns.ru/grenade/gl09-e.htm
The grenade launcher that goes with the Heckler & Koch HK33/G3/G41 series rifles. It tips down for reloading at the back. I can dig up a semi-suitable reload animation from a certain BF2142 rifle rocket launcher if needed.
Kalashnikov AKM
Why can't the MEC use this? It seems more reasonable to use a rifle that's already hugely widespread in the Middle East than one that's only license-produced in Iran as the G3A7.
Light stationary weapons
9M111 Fagot/AT-4 Spigot
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AT-4_Spigot
For MEC. I don't think China and the US use anything stationary that's lighter than the HJ-8/TOW.
MBDA MILAN
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MILAN
I'm excited about this one. Looks nice and the wikterwebtopediaz0r article includes a view through the sight to top it off. Can be used for the British team and any other future European teams.
FN MAG
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FN_MAG
Pretty much the standard 7.62x51 machine gun for the Western world except Germany. The L7A2 for the UK, the M240G for the USMC, the C6 for Canada, the MAG for Belgium, etc.
Norinco QJY-88
http://world.guns.ru/machine/mg43-e.htm
5.8x42 machine gun for PLA.
Kalashnikov PK
http://world.guns.ru/machine/mg07-e.htm
You all know what this is. Slap a tripod on it, remove the bipod, and keep all your base from belong to the enemy. Hopefully.
Armies
US Navy SEALs
/possible to take some liberties. From what I've heard, they're allowed to basically use any weapon they can get their hands on. SIG 552-2s, Mark 43s, AKs, whatever. This could make for some interesting weapon layouts, no?
Ze motherland, yah
Russian army, anyone?
"I was bored"
Sonic booms
Apply to airplanes and the Mark 12. I don't think doing that with airplanes is possible with the BF2 engine though. For the Mark 12, the alternative is subsonic ammunition and possibly having to cycle it after every round, essentially making it a bolt-action rifle. Maybe. I don't know the particulars.
Edit: Additional map objects
You know what I mean. Stuff besides the round, compass, and STANAG magazine.
