Ironsight and scope sensitivity disproportion

This has bothered me since it was introduced - it was in 1.0 if I recall correctly.
Ironsight mouse sensitivity is just too high compared to scope sensitivity. It's impossible to find a nice middle point.
If I try to find a sweet spot for ironsight sensitivity, scopes become garbage at low and even middle range - adjusting my aim after each shot becomes a pain as well, thanks to the super low sensitivity.
On the other hand, if I try and make scoped weapons generally useful at all ranges, ironsights become too fast and floaty, rendering unconventional forces very frustrating to play.
I know this is BF2 engine and it's impossible to fine-tune sensitivity in the game settings and it only makes me wonder why they messed with it in the first place. Sensitivity was great pre-1.0, everything had a balanced feel to it. Nowadays I just set my sensitivity accordingly to perform better with a scope and avoid unconventional forces like the devil.
Does anyone else feel the same?
