Hello guys, how you doing?

I have made a list with the 33 best war games that run well on old/weak computers.

PR is on the list and it's on top.

I hope you like it!

You can acess the list here: jogos para pc fraco (it's not in english but you can still get the game's names and specs)

Cheers!

Veja os requisitos do sistema para Project Reality:

Processador: 1.7 GHz
Mem?ria: 512 MB de RAM
V?deo: 128 MB
HD: 2.3 GB de espa?o dispon?vel
This is just BF2 system requirements, isn't it? Project Reality 1.3.5 is around 7 gb, not 2,3 gb. Maybe you can run PR on ultra-low with that set.

Great post/thread Andreher.

You missed the original "Operation Flashpoint" it has a decent single player as well as a host to peers multiplayer. Also what about "BF42"? Last time I looked (about 6 months ago) there were still a few servers up. Also the entire "Delta Force" series including "Joint Operations". All those games with the exception of "JointOps" I ran on my old AMD T-Bird processor (1.1 gig, w/512 MB ram, 128 MB card).

I'm not into 3rd person shooters or "God view" games so I never played them but what about the "Command and Conquer" series?

Hello, I'm glad you liked the list!

Thanks for the suggestions!

Other people also suggested OPF, BF42 and Delta Force. My first reaction was that these games were too old and I would like to offer to the readers games that are still worth playing in 2016.

But since you mentioned that are still people playing those, they will make into the list in the next update (At least bf42)

C&C Series is a great suggestion too and will indeed be added to the list. I forgot about that great series :-P

wait a minute "PC Fraco" I can run BF3 low 60fps in my PC, but I struggle in some PR maps...

Gerfand, I believe we're comparing apples and oranges here. "Fraco" means old and/or weak, right? BF2/PR was developed before multi-core processing (old). BF3 was developed and optimized with a multi-core processor requirement and 4gigs ram minimum (new/novo). I'm not a coder so I can't definitively say but there had to be a huge trade-off to enable utilizing more than 4gigs ram for PR. Thus the struggle for a weaker multi-core machine.

Let me put it differently; A strong/forte single-core machine probably "aces" a weak dual-core machine for PR. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Fraco is Weak, Old is velho...

But yeh I know BF3 runs Better than PR, overall, but is because its newer and Dice made a really good job w/ that, so as long you have the needed specs, you are good to go... PR in other hand, no as it is a giant mod of a old game w/ a even older engine, which does not support things like Multi core, and because some maps need much of that process power, you can get 30fps in things like Gronzy or Fallujah were or you have a lot of objects and particles at the same time, or you have some pretty bad optimized objects all over the place
anyway, I was joking there...

man seeing your list again, Both Battlezone 1 and BZ2 are free(not so sure about the second) and BZ1 has also the Steam HD version, and you could also put there all BF until BC1 (1942 can be downloaded on BD site and BF2/2142 on battlelog.CO) and speaking on BD, SWAT 4 is also downloadable...
I just would drop the Ghost Recon game, as it is very dead right now, and is too much F2pay bullshit (common I cannot even get another weapon)

And u forgot the most optimized Action Real Ti... I mean MOBA , that is about war (but is never portrayed in game or in Blizzard YouTube channel), the very popular League of legends (its probably the best game in optimization and can even run in a potato)

Thanks for the correction Gerfand, and you're right about BF3 (kinda was my point as well). Plus it's browser based making it much easier to render.

I said that it would be a silly list without Brothers in Arms in a 33 list. But you did not dissapoint. However I'd swap sniper elite with the first one and MoH:AA with COD2... because its better to run ancient games on full gfx. :D
