Actually its not a bug... its a party of the Supress mechanic...
You get supress when something hit around you, in a radious... depending on what is firing

And because of this you can supress yourself...

Think that supress is actually the "Ear noise" that happens when you hear something too loud near you ear, like when someone use an Air horn on your ear

This is also why the pistol does not supress you, but even being 100m away, and inside a bunker, an Arty shell will supress you.

I noticed this too, don't remember this from previous versions, will check if it's intended, thanks for reporting

Pretty sure it was this way at first, then they removed auto-suppression, and now you are able to suppress yourself again?
