Is Mirage really supposed to go over
4000 km/h (or BF2 speed unit)? If you go over 4000, the sounds kind of break and stuff. And I was gaining altitude at 4000 km/h

It was kind of fun until you reached 9999+ alt. The picture is bad but you can see that velocidad is over 4000 (46xx or 40xx). I was also able to use the afterburners for pretty long time, not sure if that is also a bug.
Map: Falklands
no cheats used (if there are any that allows this) but
rcon oneman.

I did the same test, the speed is authentic and actually less then the real jet at that altitude.
As you gain altitude the jet can go faster because of less air friction, if you go too high then your plane will not generate enough lift anymore because the air is too thin and it will stall out (absolute ceiling), ingame that altitude is 10km for all aircraft.
Divide the speed that is displayed ingame on the HUD of any aircraft, including helicopters, by 2 and you get roughly the actual speed, found it out through testing.
Sound becoming muffled ingame is probably indicating that you reached supersonic speed when you stop hearing the jet engine from the outside of your cockpit, because you outrun the soundwaves being generated by it and propagated through the air. Before you reach mach 1 i think you can hear the sound getting deeper.
After going over mach 1 you can still hear the engine a little bit because its sound is still being transmitted through the body of the jet to the cockpit.
For real jets i heard/read that after going supersonic the sound pretty much stays almost the same though, since most of the engine noise the pilot hears doesn't come from the outside but rather from the transmission through the inside structure of the jet.
Afaik in real jets there is no limit on how long the afterburner can be used other than the content of your fuel tanks and how much you have left of it lol.

IIRC if a jet went straight afterburner it would run out of fuel usual at 3-5 minutes.

Probably because falklands hasn't had the flight celling increased from 4km to 10km like every other map in pr.

Flight ceiling is global setting, not map based. However on Falklands the land is actually already 10km above 0, so no idea what that might cause to physics

What is the reason behind that though? Just interested

Then jets should derp right from take off

No idea what might cause physics bug.
