Can somebody point me to the active feedback thread for freecandyvanserver or to their web presence if for some reason such a thread is currently not allowed on realitymod.com?

Monday, 2-20-17, Kokan, 10:15 PST, kicked by little squid after false reporting done against me. little squid is unresponsive admin and makes the wrong choice when kicking. He needs to be terminated from admin job. Terrible admin, makes poor decisions, doesn't understand situations. The server is still toxic, awful gameplay, uninformed and unresponsive admins.

About a half hour ago, Wicca kicked me from FCV for grabbing a sniper kit.

No warning, nothing. I thought I CTD'd, and heard "Bye-Bye sniper" then saw the "you have been kicked....etc" message.

I rejoin and wicca tells me, that "Yeah I kicked you, you grabbed a kit without asking" I said that most would ask to grab another kit, or boot from squad. He tells "I'm the head admin, so go ahead, try to claim admin abuse" "I could just put you on the ban list".

I left. If the admins act like children, it's no wonder the players do.

Sniper = lonewolf.

You seem to fit the bill. Since you joined my squad like so many others, and grabbed a sniper kit.

He'll kick you from the server if he THINKS you'll be a lonewolf. Seems like a reasonable admin.... right?

And to be clear, it's the admin abuse I'm pointing out, not the relevance of sniper kits.

So Who are You reporting this to? And what is going to happen?

Just kick him from your squad, it's not like he was hurting anybody. Just have him take the sniper, done right it can be effective, and if he does it wrong he's back to being a grunt before you know it.

Are you missing the point of this thread? I'm reporting it to the PR community.

Personally, I don't think being mature and reasonable is too much to ask, especially from a server admin.

What is proper feedback?

Proper feedback gives the reader and server admin something to learn from, either from negative or positive experiences. It contains either general experiences or specific and useful information, backed up with context and evidence.

Bad, and thus unaccepted feedback gives the reader and server admin nothing to learn from. It contains no substantial information other than generic claims or statements (both positive and negative), it fuels drama or does not contribute to the discussion.

Players may comment on anything related to the server: Rules, Administration Practices, Admin presence, Balance, Map choices and so on. (Keep in mind: Ban appeals and extended discussions of single cases will still not be allowed, take it to the server's forums!)

Admins may take this feedback to improve themselves and reply as they see fit (of course within the forum rules). Admins have the last word on what happens on their server, they have no obligation to follow player demands in the feedback thread.

If I see snipers I will continue to kick or ban them, unless they play with the team as a recon element or similarly was asked by a squadleader to take the kit.
Failure to request permission from a squadleader, and then not following orders by leaving, or forcing the squadleader to kick you is an backwards way of playing the game, giving the player what he wants (IE the sniper kit), and wasting bandwith that we want to use on players that take the game more seriously.

I don't think you guys understand how many people I have kicked or banned due to them being
A) Sniper
B) Does not have a mic.
C) Is alone in a squad, or isnt in a squad.

They don't necessarily need to be a sniper, but you are advocating lonewolf behaviour on this feedback thread. Respectfully I decline this feedback, and if this means that alot of people that usually do play as sniper will avoid joining my server, then great! Two flies in one stone.

I agree with most of what you have said. BUT, You are still missing what I am saying.

I understand that grabbing the kit without asking is bad mannered. I donot condone lone-wolf behaviour. But you kicked me without any warning, and when I came back to inquire, you acted like a child.

This is what this post is about.

And it's not the 'snipers' that I hope this thread reaches, its the logical and mature players. The ones who play PTFO and communicate correctly.

Maybe they will see that the admins can, and will, do whatever they feel like, even if it abuses the players.

And, fingers crossed, when those mature individuals see the admins abusing other players without regard, they will find other servers and leave you with the immature players you so desperately despise.

Anyone who gets kicked because they do something wrong and think they didn't, or that they were not given a chance to change their behavior obviously will claim admin abuse. You seem to think you were abused since I confronted you about it, and told you that I was the highest instance that you could reach regarding the matter. Which you thought was childish.

I've been kicking snipers since I started as an admin when I made the NATO event server about 6 years ago, I was kicking snipers playing alone in PRTA, and you know I keep doing it in FCV. It's a recurring issue in this mod, of players joining squads and grabbing the kit, and then leaving. And unless the developers remove the kit, it will continue in the future.

If you don't want me to kick you, ask the squad leader before you grab any kit. Maybe the squad leader isnt an admin, but if any of my admins remove you for not following orders, they have my support.

I welcome any player to join my server and report snipers they see, players without microphones, or people not following orders, so I may kick them, and they can come here and complain about the lack of warning before being kicked.

Now I don't mind your attitude, since this forum has actually never worked to it's intended purpose, IE give useful feedback. Nor does it give players an insightful idea of a server. Everyone who posts something in this forum, has some sort of agenda, be it their wish to tear down a servers reputation, or to solicit drama.

It would be far more useful if there was a more schematic approach, with a list of measurable things, such as Responsive squad leaders in the team. 7/9.
How fast did the admin respond to you. 10 seconds, 10 min.
Amount of ticket the round ended with.
Amount of players playing the objective.
Amount of players not in squads.

etc..

So you stating without anything else than the experience that you were kicked for grabbing a sniper kit, will not grab the attention of anyone significant in this community, the majority of which does not give this forum 2 thoughts, nor do they have an account on this forum.

My server has a dedicated seeding group through my own clan, and with the admin teams connections as a whole, not to mention the fanboys from bluedrake. So we are not going to "fingers crossed, "end up with immature gamers that I so desperately despise".
Rather, I will continue to remove players that are unable to follow the most basic of Project Reality ethos.

I will continue to develop my admin team, my clan and the players on the server, as well as my servers rules and admin policies.

And I welcome any structured feedback, that is aimed at my rules specifically, experiences that has a measured effect on the whole, as opposed to a single players experience that left them without the ability to play with their favorite kit or asset.

Really though? There are several players who post here with good intentions, if you don't believe that players who have played this game for years want the best possible servers then part of the problem is on your side too.
