The armor balance is heavily skewed in favor of the FSA.
The lone T-72M is outgunned by any competent crew in the two T-62s, with the BMP-1 serving as cannon fodder. The two SPGs will mop them up if the former fails. The two T-62 vs T-72 setup dates back to 1.2, and it hasn't changed, but one tank sure has. Right now, a T-72 crew has to flip the coin twice and hope they land on heads, the T-62s only have to strike once to track them.
In 25 instances of hitting the T-62 with 125mm APFSDS, it was never tracked in all 25 attempts. In 25 instances of hitting the T-72 with 115mm APFSDS (which happens to be identical, with 1300 damage to side armor material) it was tracked 14 times in my tests, and turreted in all of them, whereas the T-62 never got tracked and rarely was turreted. I remember the T-62 being able to get tracked, and it was quite neat that it had to be abandoned and destroyed in that situation because no repair stations.
A fix to this situation would be to actually give the T-72M a custom armor material vulnerable to TOWs instead of slapped on side armor like its older cousin. Even the older 3BM26 runs circles against 3BM21, regardless of penetration (Penetration\=\Damage). (T-72 + 2 BMPs + Shilka + MTLB) vs (T-62 + BMP + 2 SPGs + Urals and assortment of Techis) also sounds like a better option than the current setup.
