PR in it's current form - a bf2 mod, will be alive? I don't want to start playing already dying game. Please understand my concern.

As they say, enjoy it whilst you can.

10 years, now download it and start playing.

Long enough to enjoy, certainly a couple more years depending on development.

There are about 3-4 server filled during CET 20:00-03:00. So seeing as you're European there should always be plenty of servers for you to play on during primetime.
