I am sure that not everyone will like this but it surely helps with reducing team killing. I made this just the other day so let me know if there are any bugs.
Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet
Install:
- Have PR installed.
- Install python 3.6+ (Make sure to check the box during installation to add python to environment PATH).
- Open cmd.exe and run following to install or update: python -m pip install --upgrade --no-cache-dir pr-am
- Run it with: python -m pr_am
Issues:
- No zoom
- the_falklands is missing a height map for server.zip?

Falklands doesn't have a heightmap, terrain is a series of static objects. Also convoluted way to install, no way to make it all in one install or web app?

Someday somebody will create a legitimately useful python module and want to call it pr-am.
He will be mad.

Interesting tool. Could it be modified to produce a contour line map ?

Good Evening,
Question, is there anyway to zoom in? I love this tool but it makes me doubt the numbers if I am not fairly accurate.
Edit>> I know the OP says no zoom but is there anyway to code it too?

It can be added but would either need to lock on to the nearest heightmap pixel or interpolate a value from other nearby pixels and I am not sure which algorithm BF2 uses. Also, it seems unnecessary because small height variations don't have a large impact on accuracy compared to the yaw/pitch angles (+- 1 degree) and map assets (height of a building is not in the heightmap).

Good Evening,
Ok, I'm officially addicted to mortars. DAMN devs took them out of blufor arsenal on a ton of 2k maps though.
Just finished Ulya with 8400+ points as a mortar squad. We got 3000 in the last 10 minutes of the round.
OMG, this tool is FREAKING AWESOME!!!!
The other day, had to move my mortars 4 times and had an epic mortar / countermortar round on Muttrah. GPNWhiskey blufor and me on opfor.

that'd be something like:
FIRE MISSION
HEDP "HEDP Verified"
CHARGE 8 "CHARGE 8 Verified"
ELEVATION 3192 "3192"
DEFLECTION 1193 "1193"
HALF LOAD "HANGING"
FIRE!
(repeat two more times)
but in project reality its something like:
FIRE MISSION
HE IMPACT "HE"
THREE ROUNDS!
GRID ALPHA 3 KEYPAD 1 SUB KEYPAD 4
RANGE 1320, ELEVATION 10
"SET"
..
"SET"
FIRE!

Good Afternoon,
While each to their own, unless you have a full squad with competent spotters and/or clear communicative SL's, how are you supposed to accurately set elevation? Also, with the way distance is calculated as detailed here by Ancient:
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f26-pr ... urate.html are you just supposed to waste bags and bags of ammo trying to clear a whole grid?
This tool is still only as accurate as you. It doesn't allow you to zoom in to set the location or your guns or the target so there is still a bit of deviation.

It's in the first post in the really clear, well formatted installation instructions.

I'm assuming you use this to also adjust in game height? (target z delta)?
Or always leave at 0?

Good Morning,
When using this tool, I only give the angle to my guys. They don't need to know all the other details as they cannot do anything with the "ones" place in the calculator.
I have found there are some nuances to this tool with regards to grids versus actual map topology.
Lastly, this tool is only as good as spotter, UAV or SL intel. If you have none, your game is boring.
