I put down a Big C4 charge on a cache but missed last second when I looked behind me and it dropped maybe 30cm away from it. It didn't seem to do any damage to the cache. Is there zero splash damage from that thing or what?

Totally intended to make the good old C4 drops from chopper not viable and C4ing through walls.

C4 does have splash damage but it does very little (to none) damage towards caches, else it would be very easy (as witness before) to place C4 on the other side of the wall and kill caches.

It is useful for the controlled detonation of neutralized GARY's, where you can place a C4 on the back of a GARY and implode it without damaging anyone nearby/creating a giant explosion.

Yeah made many caches trivial, just drop c4 from heli, or c4 on top of the cave etc.
