1. Its used to build up emplacements like FOB's and Machine gun nests. Hold left mousebutton to shovel these.
2. Just practice, but in the lower part of the screen you have an aiming aid that tells you when the aim is reliable (two dots moving towards eachother)
3. Cover and moving with your squad.

For your aim, since u are knew to this stuff, get your sensitivity set up, have comfortable mouse, and a very important thing:
Practice shooting with the Test Bootcamp map, u have to download that map btw. Just google it and u will find it
For recoil control it's a matter of practice . Make sure u disable mouse acceleration(extremely important).dont know how?
In youtube are many vids that explain disabling mouse acceleration although u don't have to download absolutely nothing

Set up keybind for easy switching between semi-auto and full-auto firing modes. Stay on single shot, unless your prospective enemy is at close range. Even then, keep the bursts short (3-4 shots per burst). So you'd still more or less hit what you were aiming at. Even nearby bullet impacts that missed the enemy you were shooting at, help you somewhat. Disorienting effect.
On machine guns, also keep the bursts short and tight. You'd spend less ammo and hit more. On longer ranges it would also help you observe the bullet impacts and compensate your aim accordingly.
It's not Counter-Strike or vanilla Battlefield. Superior aim and speed usually does not mean jack shit because many of the weapon animations have built-in delays, so you have to plan your actions. When to be ready and for what. Proper planning prevents piss-poor performance. So, "my average kdr is 3.9 in BF3/4 TDM, I am gonna just rush them 5 fuckers and kill them all using my superior reaction speed and aim" really does not tend to work out well in PR. Rather the opposite. You'd kill perhaps one - who would be revived, get shot yourself and have long walk before getting back near action.
