Seriously, the useless amount of information dispatched in transmission to all squadrons is such that it often renders the leader's communication useless.

Start using more "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9" for specific squads, ideally just use the "/" to report information to the commander, and from there , the commander will see who needs that information and will pass it on to those who need it, after all, that's his job.

Communication inside the squad is fundamental, stop messing it up.

Not really that big of a deal if you are short and sweet. Sometimes its best to pass info to all, or talk to all or its the quickest way. Its how real life radios work and they work work just fine by figuring out what you want to say before you transmit, not halfway through.

WHY THE FUCK CANT YOU USE YOUR NUMPAD AND TALK DIRECTLY TO TRANS SQAD??!?!?!?!

I tend to do it more than i should, but at least i'm succinct. The worst offenders are usually trans heli pilots.

Just tell people nicely to use direct comms ingame.

Tell them to use direct comms. That works most of the time.

If that doesn't work alt tab, start mumble and mute them. (Although this usually ends with them reporting you for not having a mic )

I think I did to this to some PRTA admin once, he wasn't too happy with me...

you can go to mumble
and "local mute" the SL who spamms .

To be fair though, it's a lot easier to bind a key that is accessible while flying to the all-squads key, than to try and fly while hitting numpad keys

As long as the "*" button is available to everyone, "FULL SPAM MUMBLE" will continue because in the public server there are many players with no sense or discipline.

they are either annoying and being stupid or(sometimes like me) they have an actual reason.

if i'm in contact and trans contacts me offering a crate i do not have time to open up caps lock and search for their squad nor look bottom left while i'm chucking a grenade and spitting orders. and if not that intense at the very least i'd rather be scanning than taking a good 3-5 seconds unattentive.

on the other hand, this is exactly who should be shit on, because trans heli pilots generally have time to look and plan all of this. of course there are exceptions like when they're smoking and taking fire while swerving, then "* copy that." is usually what comes out and is fine.
