As I type this only 42 people in the whole world are playing pr how do we boost the population and make it more consistently populated?

1. Cut a deal with EA to get access to the refractor engine source code. In turn PR gets a price tag and EA rakes in all the profits from the sales, but DEVs are used to working for free so np.

2. Introduce sweet new features and graphics: big *** view distance, big *** maps, stabilized turrets with FCS and TADS, ultra realistic flight models, super realistic ballistics, new textures and so on...

3. PR gets a lot of attention and player base rises, partly due to the fact PR doesn't have the 'shitty free to play game' reputation attached to it anymore (people actually think free stuff is shit and stuff that you have to pay for is higher quality).


LOL just kidding, idk what to do exactly. Just mention PR to others on the internet or IRL, link them a trailer or good gameplay montages or something. Maybe try to make a post on it on a gaming forum and try to get it some exposure to the general public online.

Posted on 8am where most of the EU players are not even around.

Like 2-3 AM in the US, 2-4 PM in Asia, 8 AM in Europe... on a weekday. :notsure:

just an idea .
PR have FB page .
well we can give to someone task to "Promote" the Game .
with more post more engagement with audience and even some promotion in some gamers FB groups .
in the end we can even run small Ads in FB .
i remember there were a PR in 60 sec videos .
well we can edit to 30 sec and start post it on FB

Show videos of gameplay of the HOG or PRTA servers when there are no admins

Even tho most people will not like to hear it, this is true. PR needs PR. People need to advertise it. Show it's uniqueness, record unique scenes, show this game to big clans who could be interested, take part in events and tournaments (not only PRT, but in general) yourself and increase it's audience.

Just my 2 cents.

There are more possibilities, ofc, but this is definitely do-able right now.

Regarding the PR for PR: This game needs a better website and forum.

(I have no clue about websites but I would be willing to donate for a new one.)

The game is definitely not in its prime anymore and it will most likely never get to how it was before but we could hopefully squeeze out a few more years if we just advertise the game more. That being through youtube, recommendations to friends through steam, or even on other game forums. Honestly anything helps.

PR is dying every year.

Well, youtube vids does a lot. I have played bf2 from the very beginning but only noticed about PR when the 1.0 beta was out, there was some good advertisement, like the devblog vids and trailers on YouTube.

You could say that I was ignorant by not being able to find out about PR in between 2005 and the beta. But there are def. More people like me.

YouTube and forums is the way to go. And try to show RL friends. No special new features needed to raise the playercount, it is already all new and special for peeps not aware of PR.

An Intel NUC system with PR pre-loaded that people can carry around but cheap of course so its open to everyone of all worlds and class. People prefer consoles cause it just works out the box.



It even has a PRT logo for the power button.

Steam, Just get it on Steam !

Getting it on steam would actually be a really good way to get a huge influx of players I'd think. Is there a reason it's not possible, since it's a mod?
