Why do conventional ironsight kits not get binocs?

As we know, some patches ago unconventional forces have been given binoculars on almost every kit. That was a balance change aimed help insurgents by giving them bigger situational awarness that binoculars provide when you don't have a scope.
Is there any reason why regular forces' kits don't receive the same treatment? Having no means to zoom in means youre much more blind to the surroundings, and you're not as effective as the rest of your squadmates who happen to carry optics.

Is this really an issue? The change was explained when it was made.

You are correct, we should remove binocs from more unconventional kits.

That would be fair - especially on Assault on Grozny (and probably other RU vs CHE), which is a pretty symmetrical map, but still Chechens get binocs for some reason. They give bigger advantage than most people think.

I would not mind that at all.

If you want binocular on ironsigth team, just pickup a crewman, you still have a M16 and an AKSu

Militia needs some advantages. Organized they get wrecked on grozny and fools quite easily.

I agree. To me, opfor binos simulates the advantage of knowing the area they're fighting in.
An advantage they have in many cases irl.

To some extent, I agree with Ason. Maybe not all kits should have it, but thats a minor thing.
However, I would remove binocs from crewmen - they have the vehicles' optics to use. The kit having binocs just makes it an OP quickgrab and encourages dismounting.

Dismounting meta won't be fixed in PR, removing binos would only make it more frustrating. Conventional vs unconventional armies balance is already tipped way over to conventional forces, no need to make it worse.

My opinion is that it should not have scopes in assault rifles in Project Reality. Reason? The BF2 engine with low graphics options and automatic reconfiguration of shaders leaves the environment very clean and graphically "poor", and it is not possible to play as a tactical spotter, since it is always detected by the enemy scopes due to lack of camouflage and interaction between the "avatar" and the environment.
That's why I love playing on the Assault on Grozny map. This map is possible to play in a more "real" way.

Previous thread about ironsights was closed, I've spoken to some dev around here, so I'd like to mention something. My idea is to make all weapons have dual-mode sight, like ones with dual aiming system, but in case of just ironsights, it would allow you to choose between slight (let's say a 'focus') and no zoom when looking down the sights. Alternative backup sights are usually used when you need no zoom at all, so no change there.
The goal is to copensate a superiority of scopes, make them less preferable, especially on urban/forest maps. The ammount of zoom is discussable topic, but I think just a little would be enough, even just to make pr a bit more immersive.
From my point of view a lack of zoom was kinda frustrating when you were trying to focus on something in a field.
