Working on this for a few months, I feel like now is the time to share my efforts with the rest of the PR community.

The Sambian Peninsula comprises a large chunk of the Kaliningrad Oblast. Also known as Amber Coast for obvious reasons, the region is now the most western point(an exklave, in fact) of Russia, home to its Baltic fleet. The town of Donskoye, as well as its(now largely retired) airbase is located on the most northeastern edge of the peninsula.

When I looked up the Sambian Peninsula I found the town of Donskoye and its surrounding area to be very much suitable for making a 1:1 scale PR map. And although I have taken and will continue to take liberties here and there to ensure fun for everyone, the playing field ingame didn't change much from the original draft I made when I first toyed around with the possibility of making a map out of it: Image

Unfortunately it is kind of annoying to create a good Minimap, so all I have for now is the in-editor preview map, upscaled. If you compare it with next to the IRL map you should be able to see the similarities, I ended up moving the combat area some 200m west of the draft map:

Sambia Peninsula Standard:
-unless mentioned otherwise, respawn is set to the standard amount and initial spawn is instantly-
Germany:
3x Logi
3x Trans Truck
2x GWagen
2x Fuchs
2x Puma APC(delay 10 min, respawn 10 min)
1x Puma IFV(delay 20 min, respawn 20 min)
1x Leopard 2A6(delay 20 min, respawn 20 min)
1x CH-53G
1x RHIB(no respawn)

Russia:
2x Logi
4x Trans
1x BRDM
2x BTR80
1x T72B1(delay 20 min, respawn 20 min)
1x T90A(delay 20 min, respawn 20 min)
1x MI-8T
1x MI-8
2x RHIB(no respawn)

On Standard, Germany will start in the southwest corner of the map, Russia in the northeast. The black boxes roughly represent the area of the capzones.
Starting with Donskoye in the West,
Image
we have Donskoye Appartments,
Image
Airbase Bunkers,
Image
the Russian Airbase itself,
Image
Central Woods(the brown area),
Image
the Warehouses,
Image
Lumber Mill, Train Bridges, Lake(not pictured), Northern Cliffs(upper left) and finally Molodogvardeyskoye(don't judge me, that's the name of the town) in the background.

Sambia Peninsula Alternative:

Although I already know what to do with it, I think I'll post specifics regarding the Alt-Layer among other things when the map nears completion. For now I'm just going to leave you with a few more pictures of what else there is instead.

I might update this every now and then, no promises though.

If the mapmakers spot anything wrong with it, don't beat around the bush and tell me instantly so it'll be much easier to fix.

Scrap everything and start all over again.

Paint google maps images on to you terrain, use it as reference (for roads and static) and as color texture if suitable.

Otherwise it will not look like real thing.

When you open that 'render minimap' window it saves the texture in /your map folder/editor/ingamemap.dds, use that for your minimap pics, not a screenshot of the render window lol

Do what Rusty said, I recommend http://www.mappuzzle.se/ to get the images.
