I cannot change the effects quality under graphics settings. I tried resetting my profile and changing all the graphics settings low and high and it is still locked onto high. I am running a low end pc and trying to grab some extra frames. Any help would well appreciated.

They need to make the effects setting unlock again becasue it will not be fair for the other player who have low end Computers

I'd rather they lock all settings to the max to stop the advantage of low settings completely. The graphic settings barely affect framerate in this game, since it's running on an engine from 2005.

yeah unless you are trying to run it on a spectrum 48k you should be fine lol. I only have 750ti and a low end unclockable i5 3.2ghz

I'm playing on i5 2500k (with a lot of dust on the cooler so it goes up to 90 C xd) and gtx 560 ti, never dropping below 100 fps on max

I'm agree with sydney. What are the implications of locking all effects settings to high?

Would minimum computer requirements increase?

Would any development be easier?

sure, effects uses the largest textures in game and lot's of processing power. but yes much easier to develop since you don't have to make them look good on low and medium also using less stuff

think the developers are stupid for forcefully locking effects on high...the game is dying out and your fought this would help.
stupidest thing, totally disagree for people with low end systems or anyone that like there own graphics customization.

The performance difference with effects on high vs low can only be felt if you are running a 10 year old low end GPU....

this is incorrect and there should be no need for any forced change of settings. you have not tested all computers worldwide no matter how old a Rig is...
also its ruined my gameplay which makes me not want to play anymore. i have no free speech with my settings to.

That is bullshit i have a new pc and i can hardly run the games in some maps
eg.
Outpost
Fallujah

Outpost and Fallujah running like trash have nothing to do with effects.

Gaza never lagged that much for me but in the recent update it drops my framerate from 40 to 25-22 when I look at a huge concentration of people or some areas on the map! In addition, when I play Fallujah my framerate is up to 25-30 as before because it is a laggy map and everybody knows it!

I've attempted to switch audio settings to hardware rather than software but it has nothing to do with framerate!

This should be changed, i cba to play on 20-26 fps

We aren't changing this, neither is it new.
