Hey!

I want to start making maps, but i got some issues. On the tutorial (https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f189-m ... dding.html) are some things not working any more. For example the lightmap link. Can someone maybe send a new link? And i also got a problem with step 4. When i try to extract it, it says that the files don't exist. Can someone please help me?

-Teunvd.

Have you done step 3, copying your pr folder to make a pr_edit folder?

If so then it is just the content folder inside that pr_edit folder:

You mean you copy the .zips in pr_edit/content to pr_edit/objects, select them all and click 'Extract here' in right-click menu? I'm assuming you got WinRAR installed.

No, lightmaps samples link is dead. We plan to release LM samples after 1.5

The vBF2 ones are https://www.fileplanet.com/155859/15000 ... ap-Samples

Or you could go learn 3ds Max lightmapping, then you won't need them.

Should also note you can place all the statics on a map etc totally fine without the LM samples, and you only need LM Samples once all the statics are placed on your map, and IF you choose to do your LMing though the editor, which is not recommended, and it is far better to do the LMing in 3DsMax, which doesn't require any LM samples, is faster and far better quality.

Hi Mester Rhino, do you guys intend to make an updated guide? that one seems very complicated and I think that maybe with the new 3dmax tool and 3dmax 2016 there could be an easier way to make it?
