More *Dusty* impacts.

This is another topic dealing with balisitics, in my opinion the impacts of bullets on any surface seem not to kick up as much debris as I would expect from a bullet traveling at 1500 meters per second. I think more dusty impact would add realisum, emersion, and a use for covering fire.
The reason being is that the dust being kicked up would obscure your view when you try and return fire opting you more likely to move to fall back and move to a different possition. Also, having just played the F.E.A.R. Beta (not suggesting the impacts to be exactly like that just using it as a example) I litarly craped my pants when I was under fire with all the chaos that we erupting around me.
Now I don't know if you can change partical effects within BF2 but if this was possible, I think it would really improve gameplay and emmersion.
Thanks For Reading.
Peace

Totaly agree. aisoft guns get more dust up then in bf2.
But i think its gotta be different for each surface (which is possible i think-sounds are) since if the ground is damp you wont see much come up at all and if its wet youl see water rather then dust.

Haven't noticed the effects with guns, but the tanks dosn't seem to create that much dust on impact. Those shells aren't spitballs either, they really ought to tear up the damn target, and really make a mess, both with dust, fire & debris.

Most of BF2's effects need to be tweaked, most need to be made much larger.
I also love DCR's effects in desert levels, where the dust from a tank shell going off blows away with the wind after a while. Also the sounds need to be all made way louder, and louder from farther away.

Sound is probably the main thing. People who have shot things before wil know how powerful any gun sounds. Bf2 nothing sounds powerfull.

I thought you can already change effects in the game without the mods tools...
Well i have edited some effects, like larger dust, thicker smoke, longer lasting particle effects.. all with just a notepad..
yeah, and i agree, thats original sounds in bf2 makes all the guns sounds like bb guns

Yes that's true, but I meant building new effects from scratch, new explosions would be nice too

I like the particle effects of bullet impacts in CS: Source. What do you guys think? Something like those would be cool to me! Don't care for the game itself too much though

if they could build up how CSS bullets/kit/blood reacts then it would be perfect.

By bullets, i think you mean impacts, as I hope to GOD you DO NOT mean hit detection.
