Website Update

A very long time ago we ran into some issues with our infrastructure, at which point we talked about moving our services like the PR MasterServer, our back-end development tools and this website to a new server with better distributed access within the team, enhanced security and lower costs.

It took us a while, but thanks to the help of [R-DEV]TheRealFritz and [R-CON]Senshi we have finally transferred the final piece, the website you are on now! You won't notice much at this point outside of perhaps a few things not working (make sure to report them in this thread!). But over the next few months we plan to do some necessary improvements and upgrades to the forum software, security like HTTPS and perhaps some nice new features.

We are glad this is finally behind us to secure the future of this great community.

Not sure if this was intended but for a long time now, the map gallery button only shows up when you're in the PRSPY page and not on the index page.

Clean URLs are no longer working, but I think you are aware of this issue ;)

Edit: also our newsfeed plugin got triggered and re-posted the latest few posts on our website.

Ours as well. A load of old news fetched from RSS. We have XenForo (BASED as well AFAIK).

Thanks for the feedback, guys!

RSS: Not entirely sure what triggered the RSS dump. Seems everything back from September 17 has been re-sent. Let's hope it's a one-time fluke.

Clean URLs: They should still be working, but simply redirect to the "ugly" ID-based ones. If you have broken URLs, please give them to me (either here or via PM or whatever) so I can look into fixing them.
We had to disable the vbSEO that was in use due to a bunch of security issues.

Header: The entire header situation currently is a bunch of workarounds and hacks baked together. I'll start working on a clean fix for all that :) , and will use that opportunity to get rid of the last traces of Flash as well.

I mean the Forum/Thread links. I normally have a tab from SA Forum open in my firefox, but it showed a 404 today.

Prspy is showing the same servers stats after several hours no matter what you do like F5 or clicking the ''refresh'' to update it. I think it isn't working properly since the website update. Any fix on it?

Yeah prspy is broken on my end too.

@Clund: Again, I need example URLs if I am to fix anything :) .

PRSpy: Confirmed, will check this evening what's going on there. Probably something still pointing to the old server instead of being properly redirected to the new one.

By the way:
The new server serves the forum pages almost twice as fast as the old one :) . And that can only improve with any further updates we implement.

Thats because images (like prtournament campaign ribbons) are loaded in via http.
Nothing too serious to worry about. This can be solved with an image proxy but it would require a lot of bandwidth for realitymod. Also I am not sure if such a plugin exists for vBulletin.

EDIT: there is no redirect, you might have to put https:// infront of the url

SSL is highly experimental right now. We are not batch-redirecting yet, because we want to fix as much as we can "properly" before doing so.

So while SSL/https is enabled, it is not mandatory and thus we do not promise everything works in that mode yet (rather, some stuff will certainly be broken).

Should get better over time, and we will switch to forced SSL soon(tm).

Changed the link-to-post (the #number bit at the top right of each bit) to link to the post position in the full thread view instead of linking to the single post view due to popular request :) .
