Display Mode

Ok so this is becoming frustrating now, l cant play because the Display mode is not suported.
l do what they say and go on options and select a display mode, however as soon as l close the option window it resets to none! l tried out every option of resolution and it still keeps saying the same error!
l cant even launch the game because it just keeps doing this all the time!
