In some of the maps that I have made alterations to (changing the faction and changing the vehicles to match) my mini map has disappeared, both in the vehicles and when I press 'M'. A gray square outline appears, but no map. Does anyone know why that is?

I think it has to do with replacing vehicles that have different icons on the map. For instance I replaced a transport helicopter from one faction with a US Chinook. The icon for the other helicopter has a single rotor and the Chinook icon has the dual rotor, yet it is still showing the original icon. I believe that is why the map isn't showing, but I don't know how to fix it.

EDIT: I am not sure that the above reason is the issue. I have made other changes of vehicles that involved the map icon and there has not been a problem on those maps. It is only happening on two maps, and the map disappeared after I changed a PL helicopter to a US Chinook.

Are combat area coordinates separated by commas?

Making modifications in the GPO doesn't cause problems like missing the minimap. You made modifications in the server.zip and not client.zip where the minimap is located.

You really only changed the spawning object in the objectspawner?
Check the maps client.zip and look into the hud/minimap folder. There should be a ingamemap.dds file.

It does If you screw up combat area.

Never ran into such problems. Good to know.

Combat area setting determines which minimap area is shown on your screen.
There is even combat area on falklands which only purpose is to be there so your minimap is displayed correctly.
