Need help with lightmaps (BF2142 project)

Hello, modders, I'm very sorry if I posted my topic in the wrong section, but I believe I couldn't find help anywhere else. I'm developing mod for BF2142 called "Project Remaster" and I'm working on a custom map. However, I have issues with lightmaps - there are some abnormal, darker areas on the terrain.

Lightmaps are not set as "Read only".

This issue is not caused by objects as I experimented and compiled lightmaps on empty terrain but it still persisted. To my knowledge, it is caused by terrain. But I have no clue why.

Bugged lightmaps look normal in editor.

Edit: this issue is NOT RELATED TO LIGHTMAPS. Even if I remove lightmap folder entirely, the issue still persists.

I'd be very happy if someone could help me or suggest something. Thank you in advance.

I would suggest you make sure your terrain lightmap files are NOT set to "Read Only" and then to regenrate all your terrain LMs again.

Not that it makes much of a difference but are you generating your lightmaps (mainly talking terrain but useful to know objects too) in the BF2Editor or with 3DsMax?

BTW, it could also be that your light areas of the terrain are not using the latest terrain LM settings and not the dark areas.

I used BF2Editor :) ) The classic way.

Today I tried more things and I find out that this issue is NOT RELATED TO LIGHTMAPS at all. Even if I remove lightmap folder entirely, the issue still persists. I have no idea what could cause it.

It could be the colourmap files. It's unlikely (and shouldn't be done, other than surrounding terrain) but it is possible to compile the lightmap files into them.
