Just to give a sense of the music i'll be going for (following approval from the team)... a clip from a sketch for the loading music...

We have to know what the PR team will have in mind for the opening video in order to get a song that fit's. but that one was good.

I am no expert of music, but the army drum is very good (Gives a JAG feel to it, eh?), but at the moment it all stops, the REAL orchestra should just pound your speakers hard and heavy. If it's something people can rock along to, all the better. Remember, lots of people will be loading LOTS and LOTS, so if the music is complicated and plesant to the ear, all the better.

I suggest a heavy drum to lay down the rythm, maybe followed by violins? Making it sound like an army brass band.

Might I suggest the actual chinese national anthem for their loading music?
It is a very beautiful melody.

General rule i would say is power. It must sound powerfull because all military based music is supposed to have that effect. Pride and dignity.
You need a heavy bass base followed by a variety of smaller drums and wind instruments.
as a pointer does everyone know the body gets most 'pumped' to heavy fast thumping sounds because it reflects your heart beating at a fast rate.
The only time your heart would reach a fast rate is if you were doing some heavy physical activity eg. running from a tank about to blow you in to pieces. Adrenaline gets you pumped and is released when your heart rate increases, or rather when your body thinks its raised.

Sorry if i dident explain it well but the rule is make it heavy!

i like it i like the real orchestra feel i think POE had the best load music of any mod thus far if you ever take the time to listen to it its really cool its got that rock/ophera feel

Right now, i think anything is better than BF2 loading music, and after the battle victory/defeat music. After about the 2nd time I heard it, I had to disable the music. Still does the music after the victory/defeat but its standable. Just too damn cheesy.

Idea:

Make a good remix of BF42 theme.

Still one of the best game theme's I've ever heard, its the only one i can REMEBER

thats a good idea, the bf'42 music is second only to the music the halo games use.

i really really like the FH music and menu background, the music matched up very well with the imiges, at least in the first run-through.

Something like the opening music to JAG. That one never gets old to me.
