Key not working to speak local or squad ?
No sound ?

the usual problems like no overlay i played i bit more today and it seems i am not the only one with problems mumble keeps disconectig or something we have to ask non stop if mumble still works idk how to explain to be honest but if you play the game couple of hours you will see what i mean i play this game for like 8 years i am used with mumble crashing and not working it was not that bad but with 1.6 i found out i am not the only one who observed the problems being wayyy more severe. Somethimes i can here people but they cannot hear me somethimes nobody hears nobody somethimes sql channel doesnt work. Somethimes i hear people having a robotic voice like they are having problems with internet conection. there is not a specific problem it just doens work like it suposed to or used to.
I dont know why there are not more posts about this because today i heard people complaining about mumble not working like it used to all day.

For some curious reason my mumble seems to work pretty well now in terms of connection and so on but really there is something messed up with the new PRmumble guys... here’s a list of some different issues I noticed (NOT ALWAYS HAPPENING) :

-Overlay not always showing who talk specially local speech display when “far” don’t display when close...

-Squad leaders channel seems to be not working most of the time, I never heard any other squad leader talking in 2 rounds, otherwise sometime people hear you but you don’t hear them and vice versa (been SL 3 times only since 1.6)

-the 3D audio is definitely not as accurate as was the previous version, sometime the voice is heard behind the player. It’s really disturbing when you need to revive somebody in area with other bodies for example

-3D audio seems like less “close” to the player I don’t know how to explain it but seems the audio fading with distance is less good more like an “audio bubble” far /not far or above/below is almost non existant seems I mean there was a teammate to revive on the floor above me I had the impression he was at same floor

Well I have a big list of all the weird “not like before” audio experience on mumble and I am definitely not the only one having thos issues was wondering If anything is gonna be done about that because I never changed any settings in mumble for years , and trust me with this one I tried different settings nothing fix that weird 3D audio experience ... it definitely affect the realism of the game.

Hoping you guys noticed and are aware of that and that something is gonna be done about it.

Best regards :)

Almost all features were just merged from real Mumble so I am not really sure about robotic voices. The "can't hear others/self" issue might be an issue where players set their volume to 0% accidentally because of an issue we had with the PRLauncher keybind settings. Please check that your volume up/down bindings are set correctly within PRMumble(Or even just reset mumble bindings to default in PRLauncher) after the latest update(It only fixed launcher integration with Mumble, the keys weren't reset).

Looking into this, are you sure it wasn't always an issue on some level?

Can you provide more details?

We slightly increased the minimum distance for positional audio to improve vehicular communication, considering reverting it. Might be what you are referring to.

Error screenshot? System details? Crash dump in folder?
Additional information would be helpful. Maybe you are missing C++ Redistributable?

Hi guys. I have a problem with pr or mumble i dont know, in game sound just stops working. sometimes mumble stops as well so i restart mumble, but that only fixes mumble so i can hear squads talking and all but no in game sound i dont hear vehicles , i dont hear guns shooting nothing.
In the 1.5 version every 3 games that would happen and i had to restart the game and i can play for 1 hour than the same problem happens, But now in 1.6 i can play 10 min and no sound.
I have Razer Electra V2 headsets i tried with other headsets as well because i thought it was the razer not working but i just bought them 2 weeks ago.

Thanks for the help!
Sorry for bad English.

Did you consider readjusting Win10 soundsettings.
Maybe if available plug the headphone on the opposit output if you have one on the frontpanel and one on the backside of your PC? I could imagine that Win10 "remembers" old settings and falls back to them sometimes. Maybe try to reconfigure soundsetting in Win10 and then again in mumble. Depending on mainboardrivers it could even be possible to adjust the mic port to a headphone port. Also check if you maybe have a little disconnect on the plug of your soundgadget sometimes, and then mumble gets confused about the correct input device. Make sure that there is no tension on the cable at all times. Also a slightly minor broken cable could make the PC (or only mumble) lose the information about the correct sound output hardware. If availabe try a different headset, earphone and tryout usb souinddevice vs. jack plugged device.

Yep sounds like some type of hardware issue, I really doubt that it's mumble related. Could be on your panels and generally Razer gear is very low quality, especially headsets with microphones which tend to break first.

Can you check if it happens in a public teamspeak/discord/mumble(regular) server?
Updated non-speech Mumble shortcuts back to default. This was done to fix issue with shortcuts.
1.6.0.3 reverted shortcuts that might have caused the "0% volume issue", please let us know if the issue persists.

The positional audio/"3D feeling" fixes should be ready for the next hotfix, we just wanted to do a bit more testing before releasing.

C++ Redistributable is not missing, before the update i didnt encounter any issues with mumble and thats a fact

Previous Mumble used C++ Redistributable 2005 and it's almost a completely different codebase.. If you won't give me any details on your crash I won't be able to help you.
Try installing C++ Redistributable 2015-2019(all in one) https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... -downloads

yossi bro listen. every time the game tries to laucnh the mumble it carshes with this error: "failed to load mumble_app.dll", even when i try to launch it manually.
i can confirm 100% C++ Redistributable 2005 both the 64 bit and 32bit versions are installed, even reinstalled them, same with C++ Redistributable 2012, 2013, 2015, 2009, all of them 100% installed, and confirmed functioning 100%, its just the mubmle. when i installed the original mumble and repalce the pr mumble mumble_app.dll with the original mubmle mumble_app.dll it worked, but then it makes the pr mumble exactly like the orignal mumble. why cant i fix this?

I have a different Mumble issue.

It never remembers settings from one session to the next since 1.6.

used it for years with no problems. Now I have to set up my audio device every time I start PR, plus it doesn't remember custom keybinds.

I am guessing a permission issue with the config files?

I specifically told you to try installing 2015-2019 (32/64) because that's what I have on my PC(In addition to 2005 32/64, 2008 32/64, 2010 32/64, 2012 32/64, 2013 32/64), your list only includes C++ Redist up to 2015.. Please try it (and maybe 2012?):

The other option is to run PRMumble in a debugger to figure out why mumble_app.dll fails to load. You can try x64dbg and try to figure out what happened or send me the data you can see there.

Also, you didn't give me your OS info, that might also help.
