Ticket bleed on some maps seems very weird.
Can someone explain how it works on eg. Omaha lrg?

Yeah! In this game yesterday the british took 15 minutes to bleed 170 tickets. Same happened on Kozelsk some time ago as well.

Code: Select all

ObjectTemplate.areaValueTeam1 35
ObjectTemplate.areaValueTeam2 50
value is assigned to a flag and the amount adds up bleed. IIRC 100 is the base amount of bleed. I think when the value hits 100 is when it activates and begins to bleed at the rate set up in the init.

Code: Select all

gameLogic.setTicketLossPerMin 1 10
gameLogic.setTicketLossPerMin 2 10
I also think it stacks over 100. So if you have a total of 200 value points you make them bleed at 20 tickets a min.

Having flags with different bleed speeds is extremely confusing, especially when it's so implicit. This information must be explicit, so players can make informed decisions whether to fight for the flags or not. Show it in the flag's name, perhaps?

Btw, why can't all home flags have the same bleed speed, for simplicity and transparency's sake?

Because maps are not all the same. Having the same fast bleed on Omaha, Kozelsk or any other map where one team attacks would ruin the map completely. However standard AAS maps should all have similar bleed when outcapped. The one on Vadso seems to be too slow in that regard.

I can understand that, but it can still be very frustrating when you don't know if the enemy's actually bleeding or the bleed is nominal. Maybe it would make sense to have different colors for different bleed speeds or some other form of indication... Or at least have this data publicly available in the map gallery or the forums.
